South East Academy of Chinese Martial Arts

South East Academy of Chinese Martial Arts Martial arts school teaching Jik Cheung Kung Fu (ages 6+) and Tai Chi. Tournaments Optional Jik Cheung Kung Fu is based on traditional Chinese Martial arts.

Students gain fitness and learn self defense through a combination of traditional and contemporary skill activities. Jik Cheung Kung Fu is a modern and practical kung fu style that is both easy to learn and apply, is appropriate for students of both sexes and all ages. Jik Cheung Kung Fu may be enjoyed for its excellent self-defense applications as well as its health, fitness and lifestyle benefits. Jik Cheung Kung Fu includes:-

Chi Sau (sticky hands)
Muk yan chong fa (wooden dummy apparatus)
Traditional weapons. Jik Cheung kung fu is taught at the School by qualified black belt Instructors under the authority of Founder and Head of Style Sijo Ray Potterat 7th degree. Classes run all year round, with a short break for Christmas/New Year. Tai Chi runs during school terms, and does not train on Public Holidays.

Monday night I decided to have a quick rattle on our Mook Yan Jong (Wooden Dummy). One of our best training partners in our School (Kwoon). Never complains, always take a hit and also a fantastic teacher.
