The fast growing & easy to play sport of Disc Golf is in Mount Gambier! The Mount Gambier Disc Golf club runs monthly League Days, Casual Days, Club Championships & sanctioned ADG/PDGA events at the Crater Lakes Disc Golf Park. A yearly club membership fee of $120 for seniors & $60 for juniors (10-15 years) qualifies members to play a minimum of 24 League days and Flex Start rounds during the sea

Hi all,
Due to difficult access to the Crater Lakes course and course availability during last weekends downhill mountain bike event, it has been decided to extend this months flex round through to this sunday 14th of June, 7pm. We hope this allows members further opportunity to get their flex rounds in.

Everyone please be mindful that on Saturday there will be over 80 riders practicing the crater lakes tracks for the Gravity Enduro. Also they will be racing from 10 to 2 on Sunday.
This will affect hole 14 and 15. The course is not closed but it is strongly encouraged that you not play hole 14 and 15 until after 2.30 on Sunday

Yesterday MGDG held a Women’s Global Event at Blue Lake Sports Park.

This biennial event is designed to encourage women’s participation in disc golf events. How it works? Women from all around the world play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. These round ratings are averaged to determine the player's "Global Score." The global results are updated throughout the event to determine our PDGA Women’s Global Event Champions.

At the MGDG Event - the Blue Lake Sports Park Blitz - 7 women and girls competed over 4 divisions.

In round 1 there were some fantastic scores, particularly from Taryn and Jenny who played well above their PDGA rating throwing 3 and 2 under respectively.

The great scores continued into round 2 with many players improving they’re scores - Tayla Clarke by 1 shot, Michelle Schulz by 3 shots, Miley Nicholson by 5 shots, Kate Eldridge by 6 shots and Casey Kerin by 11 shots!

The final positions were:

There were 3 CTPs on the course on holes 2/11, 4/13 and 8/17. Jenny Duggin managed to claim the first 2 and Taryn Salter dominated hole 8/17, getting close to the pin on each of her attempts.

Thank you to Michelle Schulz for being the tournament director and creating the trophies and player’s pack keyring.

Another thank you to Steven Fox from Flying Fox Disc Golf for donating chalk bags for the players pack and the CTP prizes.

MGDG held its Blue Lake Sports Park May League Day yesterday in calm but chilly conditions.

12 players across 4 divisions competed in the event, with many posting low scores to go with the low temperature of the afternoon.

In Division 1 Justin Clarke tied his PB with a 13 under round. Division 2 saw a great battle between Joe Lade and Dan Brown, with both players tied for the win and each with new PBs at 3 under par.

In Division 3 Tayla Clarke threw a PB of 2 over par, but it was not quite enough to catch Jenny Duggin who won by just 1 shot. Finally in Division 4, Luke Duggin put together an awesome round, claiming 1st place and beating his previous PB by 4 shots!

The CTP for the day were holes 8 and 17, with the Clarkes winning both. Tayla taking out the Group B CTP, and Justin winning Group A.
