No matter your dog’s breed, size, age, or background, we’re here to support you every step of the way 🐾 The Blue Lake Dog Obedience Club Inc., Mount Gambier's only registered SACA-affiliated dog club, has been serving the community since its founding in 1976. The Club aims to assist dog owners in training their pets to be well-behaved and well-loved members of the family. Offering qualified instructors for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, the Club's philosophy is summed up in the saying, “You can teach an old dog new tricks.” As a not-for-profit organisation, it operates with the help of dedicated volunteer instructors and committee members. Weekly ground fees are paid to the Mount Gambier City Council for the use of their facilities.

MOCK TRIAL FUNDRAISER - Sunday 20th
BLODC is holding a Mock Trial this Sunday
This is a FUN chance to take part with your dog in a relaxed environment with positive feedback especially if you are already new to trialling or interested in taking the next step in future trials.

Cost - $5 per event/run per dog
BBQ available -Thanks to helpers Mick & Leigh
Prefer cash if possible for days events

RINGS & JUDGES
Jumping -Novice/Excellent/Open - Kaz Brooksby
Rally - N/A/E/M -(Karen Howard & Jennifer Walker)
Tricks - All classes (Helen Williams)

SET UP RINGS - 10.30-11.30am
The Jumping & Tricks rings will be meshed
and will be in front of BLODC clubrooms & Lions of Gambier City shed area.(Rally ring behind Tricks)
Helpers appreciated to assist with set up, mesh rings, equipment to each ring & pack up

11.30 am Registration is finalised and briefings will be given prior to rings commencing.
START TIME - 11.45-12 noon
You can register prior to Sunday, list at club.

BLODC success 🎉🐾⭐️

Recently 2 BLODC club members competed at The Royal Adelaide Show.

A very different environment for our teams, being indoors with new challenges however both handler and dogs rose to the occasion and had a wonderful weekend with outstanding results and run.
Even some clear runs but just missed the time .

Jennifer & Karen ran together in Strategic Pairs Novice with Jennifer pairing with Karen for the first time, a super run landing 1st place.

Jennifer / Moura Moura & Karen / Jesse James
continued their superb team work with 2 brilliant individual runs in AD 300 & 400 to be the ONLY pass & 1st place winners in their height categories.
Which was the exact outcome at the recent State Agility Championships. Congratulations 🎉 🎉

Recently BLODC has 2 club members compete at the Munno Para Agility/Jumping Trial (2days)

CONGRATULATIONS 🐾 🎉🎉 Karen & Joanne

Karen Kennedy & Jesse James competing in all JDO, ADO, AD & JM runs.
Karen & Jesse are quite new to JM and have run clear a few times recently but just missed out on time, and have obtained a few JDOs in recent trials

Agility Dog Pass - 1st
( only team to qualify in 400)
Jumping Masters - 3rd

Joanne Ancrum & Gidget, this was their first Adelaide trial, Joanne & Gidget have just earned their JD title and was first time in JDX, and also had a crack at a JDO run.

Jumping Excellent - 1st
(Only team to qualify in 500)
Jumping Open - 8th

Gypsy and myself were unable to compete, however I had the task of chief video operator, support course walker & support crew for these amazing girls and their dogs 🐾🐾

Thanks to Paul & his amazing team, was great to travel for the 2nd year to this awesome event.
We cant waitt & will be back for A&J Trial 2027

BLODC is excited to announce our Schedule for October Obedience/Rally/Agility /Jumping & Tricks Trial 2026 has been approved by Dogs SA
Still pending Mt gambier council approval.

If you need to have your dog measured or seek more information please reach out to me .
Entries open early September
