One of the first videos I recorded in 2015 when we built the studio. When TRX were relatively new (well new to me) and I was loving learning all the moves. I still love them and am still learning ❤️❤️
Also, Foo Fighters 🥺💔

Eggs on toast 🤤🤤
They’ve been my go to post workout meal this week. I love them with soy and linseed bread, salt, pepper and smoked paprika. Bon appetit (bone apple teeth 🤣).
But because I’ve had them 4 x this week it got me thinking of a warning I’m sure we’ve all heard: Don’t eat too many eggs it’s not good for you.
So it got me thinking. Is it really? How many eggs is too many?
Too many eggs is bad if you have cholesterol issues but not worse than red meat and high fat dairy such as butter but then mix them both together and it does increase or complicate the risk. So really up two eggs per day for an adult without high cholesterol issues is ok but don’t mix it with bacon, sausage, cream or lots of butter if you’d prefer to play it safe, but the heart foundation does not set a limit on the amount of eggs per week. I found it interesting we got this message about eggs but not so much about red meat and high fat dairy.
Not many other foods offer as much nutrition by themselves with protein, omega fats and 13 other key nutrients including leucine with supports glucose control and appetite on offer from a delicious googy egg.
It’s always great to get some advice from a nutritionist and/or your doctor if you’re concerned and I’m not giving professional egg advice obviously but I found it interesting to look up where the info came from and what is considered ideal.
It can also depend on how old the research is that you’re reading and even country as to the info you get too.
But for me I’m going to enjoy this post workout meal a few times a week with a bit more knowledge on where those egg warnings came from :)

🏋🏼‍♀️ Exercise culture 🏋️‍♂️
I find it so intriguing how our attitude and trends towards exercising changes.
when I was just getting into exercise at the end of high school (let’s not say how many years ago. Maybe 10 years ago because that’s how long it feels like) there were hardly any gyms around with what felt like a big focus on being either really thin or really muscly but no focus on actual exercise with body building and aerobics culture being almost a thing of the past.

I started seeing results quickly (hello adolescent metabolism) and fell in love and there’s been no turning back.
Since then it’s an industry that’s exploded which made fitness very sexy and trendy with fit, muscly bodies and low body fat % the gold standard that seemed to be advertised everywhere. Body building was back!!
Thankfully we now see people waking up to the fact that being fit looks different on everybody and low body fat % isn’t the goal for everyone.
For me, since having children I know my body fat isn’t the lowest it has been or could be but that is not my focus at all. I have such an appreciation and healthy relationship with my body (the food relationship isn’t always healthy though -WIP).
I absolutely love exercising and the way it makes me feel and the energy it gives and what that enables me to do.
But another trend I feel that is happening is it being cool to hate exercising and it almost being a badge of honour to never workout. I find that so intriguing when we’re pretty much in a mental health pandemic thanks to the actual pandemic with exercise being such a common way to assist in improving mental health. But maybe that trend is to acknowledge that it’s also ok to not feel like doing everything all the time: which is great. Maybe I’m missing the point. Intriguing is what it is though! Trends come and go but for me what will always stay is the feeling I have after exercising. Whether that’s a 10 minute walk or an hour long hard workout, it’s always worth it ❤️🙌

An easy go to meal for me is Mr.Chens prawn and chive wonton soup.
It only takes 8 minutes, is stored in the freezer and is $7.50 which is two serves (6 wontons each serve). I can usually grab it on special for $5 I add broccoli/broccolini and spring onion but you could add any other veg. Grated carrot would be nice too. I then add chilli flakes, coconut aminos and garlic to the broth and it makes a delicious, easy lunch or dinner (or breakfast who am I to say when I eat it) and sits under around 250cals. The kids also love it! First pic is a professional soup and second is mine 😂🙈

No but seriously my best me time at the moment has been those few seconds and steps from shutting the kids car doors to walking to my door and opening it for a journey. It’s the little things!

It’s been like 6 months since I’ve posted on here which seems a shame because health and fitness is still my number 1 thing that makes me happy (aside from the kids, all previous comments said with love). So I’m going to share more of the health and fitness things I love and make me happy.
For a while I thought my posts had to be meaningful and connected to my business and that now I’m not taking classes I didn’t have much to say. But it’s still my biggest passion and while I’d love to get back into taking classes at some stage it’s still nice to share.
So welcome back to my ramblings 😂😂

Addie showing the importance of getting your movement in, no matter where you are. Here she is demonstrating how to get some functional floor to stands in, in a tight space like a hospital floor.
But seriously, do you ever stop worrying about your children from the moment you know you’re pregnant until the day you die? Parenting is one big ball of love filled worry.
She’s totally fine too, we spent the day at the Childrens last week to get some tests done on her eye had she got the all clear. Tonight she had a collision with Stevie and went flying through the air and lost consciousness for a few seconds. She’s thankfully fine but I wonder what next week will bring?
Hopefully event free!

Chia pudding is a great go to breakfast for my two little ones and myself in our house.
I mash a banana (half each for the girls), put in about a tablespoon of chia seeds (I am crap at measuring things)
a bit less of LSA or can substitute for quick oats.
1/4-1/2 tsp spirulina powder,
1-2 tablespoons of coconut yoghurt and
1 tsp almond or peanut butter.
I give it all a mix and leave either overnight or at least 30 minutes for chia seeds to absorb some liquid.
It’s a yummy warm or cold weather meal that is nutritious and easy :)

Me all of yesterday.
So I had these weird bites/rash things pop up Friday that I thought were maybe fleas so I bombed the house and washed all beds, tortured the dogs with powder, washing, tablets etc.
Then Saturday I wake up and feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. Every joint was aching and felt like a 95yo arthritic lady.
But, I also had a great workout Friday night and wore new heeled shoes and walked a lot for work Friday so I was thinking 🤷🏼‍♀️ go me for my workout and also I’m never wearing those shoes again.
Then my rash thing gets worse and I go to the doctors. He takes a look at my legs and says brb and comes back in full PPE. Gloves, plastic apron, face shield the works. So by this stage I’m thinking ‘great I escaped COVID but now have a flesh eating disease.’ Perfect.
I’m then rushed off for urgent bloods.
But my googling and friend advice is currently telling me it’s either psoriasis or shingles. Hoping it’s not shingles so my little one is ok but still patiently waiting and quarantining until I get my blood test results some time today. Might post my amazing rash thing in my stories for your viewing pleasure. I started oral steroids yesterday and it’s actually fading today and I can squat down a bit and get on the floor which I couldn’t do yesterday so thinking it’s an inflammatory type thing. So that’s my workout/vs injury story for today. Riveting I know 💁🏼‍♀️

Yay to being out of iso and able to go back to the gym!
I tasted sweet glorious freedom a week ago and have gone out walking most nights and nearly kissed some machines at the gym.

Tonight mum and I did a workout I setup in the garage/driveway for us and my neice and nephew (8 and 10). It was bloody boiling though!
Some fun things we did were driveway running laps while a partner does a squat hold until they get back. next round pushups, next round plank. Maybe not if you have a super long driveway though 🥵
We did box step/jump burpees, hurdles, some balancing moves, skipping, cone obstacles and some stretching.
Then we had an icy pole 🤗
I hope you got some movement in today. It made me feel so good after a bit of a hectic day with work!

Baked potatoes ❤️❤️
Does anyone else find them a summery dish? It might be the coleslaw I love on them that does it for me. Or that they’re a treat bbq accompaniment.
Either way they’re SO versatile and delicious. You can whack them in the microwave first ti speed up the baking process then top with your favourites. Some of mine are:
Allllll the butter (Nutellex is the 🐐)
Jackfruit
Diced tomatoes, cucumber and corn
Your fav cheese
Using white or sweet Potato 🙌😋
Swipe for me enjoying the delicious baked potatoes at lilydale lake because nothing is better than being able to get a meal at the playground.

Do you do/like New Years resolutions?
Any chance to reflect, plan and set goals is a good one as It’s a healthy habit to have goals. I would say that I’m overall very happy and satisfied with my life, but I like having purposeful and achievable goals.

I liked post and her areas used for brainstorming goals (second pic and lookup her post for more info)

After having my two delicious children, self development will be a focus for me over the next few years. I’ve started by going to the gym again. Even though that’s more health/fitness related it’s actually about making me time and doing something for myself that I enjoy ❤️❤️
