20 years ago, it started with a flyer.
Today, it stands as a community.

What began as a simple idea has grown into something far bigger a place where friendships were formed, confidence was built, and thousands of players found a home through futsal.

To our staff, past and present thank you for the time, passion, and belief you’ve poured into Futsal Oz. The hours, the effort, the sacrifices none of this exists without you.

To the parents who trusted us with their children, supported us week in and week out, and stood on the sidelines through every moment thank you.

And to every player who’s worn a Futsal Oz bib, jersey, or boots on our courts you are the reason. You are the legacy. You are what these 20 years represent.

Press release Futsal Oz – MOUNT EVELYN FUTSAL STADIUM

Dear all Mount Evelyn members,

It is with a heavy heart that we formally announce the closure of Futsal Oz Mount Evelyn Stadium at 19-23 Hereford road Mount Evelyn effective 1st February 2021.

After almost a year of negotiations (Covid-19) with the landlord, we have been unable to reach a viable outcome for the Futsal Oz brand. As a result, we have made the decision to close and re-locate the Futsal Oz Mount Evelyn business.

The search for a new location in the Eastern Suburbs is already underway as we develop new plans that will best suit the Futsal Oz franchise model moving forward. Our new design will spearhead our vision and goal in achieving maximum community engagement, brand growth and “Absolute Froth” across the nation.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Mount Evelyn Futsal Oz community, in particular the amazing parents, players, managers and supporters. The love and support we have received both publicly and privately has been truly remarkable. You have kept us going and encouraged us to keep the faith. You have been a major part of our culture and we look forward to working towards getting a more effective, compact, modern facility and re-open the Futsal Oz franchise as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you all back on court kicking goals together.

Good day Lions families,
As we have learnt from the hearth breaking news that Futsal Oz has now closed their doors and we have now had time to reflect and remember all the good times we have had making new friends, learning new skill and keeping up our health and fitness in their amazing centres, Lioness player “Liesl” has put this page together where we can share our Futsal Oz story so that the futsal oz community can all share their memories and stories with each other.
