🏆 BACK-TO-BACK SEMI FINALISTS!

Congratulations to our Western City Rangers U15 Girls, who have reached the semi finals for the second year in a row.

This is a fantastic achievement and a credit to the coach, manager, players and parents. The girls continue to represent our club in a professional manner, showing commitment, respect, hard work and strong team spirit both on and off the field. As a club, we are extremely proud of them.

Now the girls fight for a place in the Grand Final.

Tim Aitken - Appointed Director of Football ⚽⚽🎉

Western City Rangers FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Aitken as the club’s new Director of Football.

Tim brings an extensive background in both high-performance and player development environments, with a wealth of experience across elite men’s and women’s football.

Tim’s high-performance experience includes working within senior men’s A-League and academy environments as an Assistant Coach and Technical Director between 2019 and 2024.

During this period, Tim also worked within the Australian National Team setup, serving as Assistant Coach with the U20 Matildas and U23 Matildas, while also contributing in a technical role with the Matildas in the lead-up to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia.

This appointment is set to take football at Western City Rangers to another level in 2026 and beyond. Tim’s experience across both men’s and women’s football, combined with his expertise in high-performance and player development pathways, will be a major asset to the club.

His extensive experience, along with his AFC/FFA A Diploma, will ensure Western City Rangers continues to strive for excellence across all elite football programs.

Tim will work closely with Craig Foster to ensure all football programs are aligned across the club and structured to maximise player development while maintaining competitiveness across all age groups and programs.

His role will oversee the club’s football structure across Junior Development for boys and girls, Youth programs for boys and girls, and both senior programs.

Tim Aitken said:

“I am excited to work with such a proud football community - a community I grew up in and where I made my First Grade Super League debut at this great club.

I believe in what the club is building here, and I am excited to once again be part of this great club and its exciting future.”

A huge congratulations to the Socceroos on their outstanding 2-0 FIFA World Cup victory over Turkey! 🇦🇺👏

We would also like to give a special shoutout to former Mt Druitt Rangers goalkeeper Patrick Beach, who represented our club from 2012–2018. Seeing one of our own perform on football’s biggest stage is an incredible moment for the Rangers family.

Patrick’s journey is a testament to the talent, dedication and hard work that can take players from grassroots football to the international arena. We are immensely proud of everything he has achieved and look forward to watching his continued success with the Socceroos.

Eleven names on a sheet. One identity on the pitch. Female Football Week is a reminder that the game was never just about goals, trophies or highlights. It was always about what happens when a group of women decide to build something together. The trust formed in training. The hands pulled up after a fall. The quiet belief that runs through a dressing room before the whistle goes.

That is the part no camera fully captures. And that is the part that makes everything else possible. To every woman and girl who has ever been part of this club, this week is for you. Not just for what you give on the pitch, but for what you give to each other. That is what togetherness looks like. That is what this game is built on.
