Are you a push bike mechanic with a keen eye for detail and impeccable customer service skills?
We are on the lookout for some fresh faces to join our superstar team. We are based in Tawonga South, Victoria, with an amazing reputation for quality customer service and a wide variety of products.
In winter, we specialise in all ski disciplines (downhill, cross country, back country and snowboard), so experience in the snow industry is vital.
During the summer months (Oct to May) we are a bike store, where your passion for cycling means you LOVE WHAT YOU DO, and can ride in Victoria’s premier High Country every day.
We are looking for an organised and articulate person, who is always professional, with good bike knowledge in both assembly and repair work. Minimum of 3 years recent experience in bike repairs is essential.
Knowledge of the ski industry is preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided.
Mechanic Key Roles
Workshop
- Taking bookings
- Receiving customer bikes and making assessments of work required, providing quotes and timeframes for servicing
- Servicing bikes to a high standard with clear communication to customers, bikes include all bikes.
- Warranty repairs
- Cleaning and maintaining workshop space and upholding relevant guidelines
Retail
- Engaging and assisting customers with purchases and enquiries
- Maintaining stock levels of parts/accessories
- Retail also includes all areas of our store, not restricted to bike area.
The successful candidate must have excellent English vocabulary, a love for customer service, the ability to work unsupervised, ability to manage stock levels, work under pressure and to a time frame.
This permanent position offers a wide variety of work and will range from extremely busy to very quiet. We offer a flexible roster so you can enjoy the outdoors this region is famous for. Ski shop in winter, bike shop in summer, the best of both worlds
Must be available to work weekends on a roster basis.
Our ideal candidate/s will have a background in skiing and cycling and a love for all things outdoors. You must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be committed to customer satisfaction, and hold a positive and enthusiastic attitude. We have a close-knit crew, requiring you to work well as a team and help other staff when required. Our number one emphasis is customer service, and we aim to provide this for every customer that walks into store.
