Last night was the final round of the season at Trade Hire Augusta Margaret River Speedway.
The track had 40mm of rain dumped on it this week. Mark & his track prep team did an awesome job to get a track ready for us to race on. To use another drivers words "The track had character!"
I had Jedd Patterson in the passenger seat. Jedd had never been in a speedway car before, & is more use to 2 wheels than 4. Thanks to Sophie Amato for helping to strap Jedd in.
Had some good battles on track. Tried a few different lines & found a faster smooth line up high.
The 20 lap feature race, we started out of 8th of 9 cars. As we drove around to.start the race, $550 was put up for the winner ๐Ÿ†. This made it very entertaining for the spectators! With only 4 cars finishing. We finished 4th. Had a great battle with Brendon, who got his first podium in 3rd. Well done Brendon ๐Ÿ Congrats to Matt on the win ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ
The car has a few battle scars, and again going to have to replace the back bumper.
Thanks to my little mate Dom, who helped with cleaning the clay off the car at interval. It was also good to get lots of people jump in the car for photos
Also the shirts have arrived.
Thanks Fastlane Photography for the pics.

Night 2 of Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway Timber Town Throwdown.
Before we could run, we had to repair the #41 BA Falcon after bouncing off the wall the night before. Thanks to Lara & Tyler for swinging spanners as we replaced LH Front upper arm, RH Rear lower arm, swapped the front brakes left to right, replaced damaged brake disc LH front. Lucky I've got a hoist!
Saturday night Jared French climbed into the passenger seat. Jared & his family are long time sponsors of the Tyrepower Manjimup Club. I've known the family for 23 years from when I first came to Western Australia. Jared tells me he still has a smile on his face days later.
Thanks to all that helped keep me on the track & again to my sponsors

What an amazing weekend to finish off the Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway season!
The Timber Town Throwdown with $10,000.00 to win was run over 2 nights.
First night, I had Hanna in the passenger seat. Hanna finished work early to come jump in for a skid. In the 3rd heat, we hit the wall hard coming out of turn 2. Going the reverse direction, this meant Hanna got a close up look at the wall as we bounced off it.
For all the results, look up the "My Race Pass" app. We didn't make it onto the podium, but we did have fun!
Thanks to Alyssa's Photography for the ๐Ÿ“ธ

Thanks always to my sponsors
