Schools Challenge #4 was a blast!!! We had so much fun and loved seeing all the creative performances on stage. So many schools brought powerful works with strong social messages. A truly empowering night for young people and the messages they want to share. Congratulations to the Rockit team for their student lead and devised piece “The Other Side of Colour”. You worked so hard on the development, messaging, music and message. The Rockit community is proud of you.

Tomorrow night Rockit will compete in the Australian Schools Challenge with our new work created by our students “The Other Side of Colour”. A thrilling work about imagination versus reality? What is the outcome??? You’ll have to see the show tomorrow to find out.

Our secondary dance students (years 9-12) had an incredible opportunity to meet the Australian Ballet on Friday. They were able to watch company members in class onstage where they saw up close the hard work and determination required to perform at this level. They also worked with the AB Education team in a creative movement workshop. There were smiles all round and what made the day even more special was the beautiful sunny day. Thank you to the Australian Ballet and Festival Centre Education Department for allowing us to be part of this unique opportunity.
