Dennis the Menace Day.
What a fantastic day to the memory of Dennis Stibbs. Peter and Martine Stibbs let our club maintain the memory by putting on the annual Dennis the Menace tournament.
This event fills very quickly as we have a limit of 14 teams. This year there were players from 10 clubs.
Some great bowls, plenty of fellowship and a huge raffle (fantastic prizes) were enjoyed by all.

Wednesday night training (and coaching) has started. Thanks Jay for the drills to improve our skills.
The BBQ was appreciated by all; thanks BBQ chef extraordinaire, Paul, for keeping us fed.

Kelly hired the dome on Sunday to celebrate her 40th birthday with family and friends. It was a colourful occasion, helped by friends dressing to reflect artist Kelly’s usual attire.

Fours day at The Lawns Renmark today. Once again, this event was well supported by teams from across the state.
Congratulations to John from Mount Barker BC, Chris from Lobethal BC and Val & Geoff from Hahndorf BC on finishing second against quality opposition. Well done to the Hills team

It was Triples day at The Lawns Renmark Bowling Club today.
Once again a Hills team was successful with Geoff from Hahndorf and Joy & Lawrie from Mount Barker coming in third. (See photo)

We encourage all Hills bowlers to try to make these events. There’s plenty of competitions in Berri, Loxton, 2 clubs in Renmark and Waikerie making up a month of continuous bowls.
This year saw huge attendance from Moonta, Pt Hughes, Pt Vincent, Pt Victoria, Victor Harbor, Streaky Bay, Stansbury, as well as lots of other clubs around the state and a couple from Victoria.

Tuesday night of bowls week at The Lawns Renmark.
BBQ dinner: Chicken patties, marinated chicken, beef patties and 4 salads. Very nice.
The evening started with a Two Cats Gin tasting and after dinner entertainment was this Ukulele group, “Bubble and Squeak.
A relaxing evening enjoyed by all who attended.

Congratulations, and a BIG thank you, to the team of volunteers who dug up and broke up the tank stand base in preparation for the Toilet for the Disabled.
The concrete was obviously far, far thicker than anyone expected and did not give up without a fight.

Four Mount Barker members are playing in the Renmark carnival. Rae & John and Joy & Lawrie, along with other Hills players are enjoying the competition.
At Renmark Bowling Club last week Victor Harbor teams were very successful. Congratulations also to Val & Geoff from Hahndorf BC for winning the pairs on Friday morning and to Eliza & Lyall from Lobethal BC for winning the pairs on Friday afternoon.
This week it’s at The Lawns in Renmark. Again there are 15 to 20 rinks being used each day and the competition is high standard.
Today (Monday) the Hills were successful with Mount Barker pair, Joy & Lawrie, teaming with Chris from Lobethal and Ron from anywhere (where his mobile home takes him), being the only team to win all four games.
