FRIDAY NIGHT SOCCER

Tonight we have 2 games kicking off at 7:30pm, although at 2 very different places.

MATCH 1: Mt Barker United Soccer Club State League

Our State League first team are playing on the serviceFM synthetic pitch, against Adelaide University. Mt Barker are coming off a close 1-0 loss to the team 1 place above Adelaide University, so this game could go down to the wire.

MATCH 2: Mt Barker United Women's

Our Women's Div 2 team hosts our Littlehampton rivals FC Summit in their Division 2 match at the ever amazing Summit Sport and Recreation Park - Football Centre. Our women are hoping to grab top spot as they currently sit 2nd and a statement victory will put pressure on the ladder leader. The lights will be on, and the pitch has had a wash ready for tonight's encounter.

With the FIFA World Cup starting, it's a perfect opportunity to get around your local club and keep the cheering going.

Daniel is one of our Mt Barker United Collegiate players competing in the Collegiate Soccer League: South Australia as well as a juniors coach with Mt Barker United Juniors.

Daniel has an incredible story to share. As a transplant recipient, he has overcome significant challenges on his journey to representing Australia with the Transplant Australia Football Club.

Watch his video below to learn more about his remarkable journey and the impact that organ donation has had on his life.

Mt Barker United Soccer Club is incredibly proud to officially announce our partnership with Adelaide United through the United Clubs Program which aims to provide support and development to our junior teams throughout our Miniroos leagues.

This partnership is more than just football development, it’s a collaboration that strongly aligns with our club values, culture and long-term vision for junior football in the Adelaide Hills.

Built around our motto Always United, our junior Miniroos program has focused on creating a player-centred environment where kids can grow their love for the game, build confidence and develop both on and off the pitch. That philosophy strongly aligns with Adelaide United’s focus on holistic player development, learning through play, coach support and creating positive football experiences for young players.

Jonathan Betts, Junior Technical Director of Mt Barker United SC said “Strong junior development starts with supporting our coaches. This partnership provides fantastic tools, education and structure to continue growing and creating the best possible football experience for our players.”

We would also like to sincerely thank Marcelo Carrusca and the Adelaide United team for considering Mt Barker United as part of this exciting initiative.
