Had a skid at the Cattle Cup on the weekend
The first night was junk missing all the heats and only doing 11 laps in the prelim feature due to an electrical issue I couldn’t pin point,
The second night saw us last in the points
So we dug a little finishing 3rd in the heat, won the C Dash and moved up to 2nd in the A dash, The young guy Jennings that won the A dash was so excited good on him taking the win. The pole shuffle wins got me to 5th on the grid. We moved to 3rd in the feature with pretty good speed, But unfortunately in the dying laps got moved off line and I jagged the wall breaking suspension. I was deemed the cause of the stoppage and was then put on the infield 😵‍💫.
Thanks to Wayne and Chris for fitting the fuel pump and helping with the car. Congratulations Mason on the win and the Rocky club for putting on the event.

Had a good run at Rocky last night, With a 1st & 3rd in the heats we started on pole and didn’t look back 🏁, proper hammer down track. I would like to thank Jack Cameron for your work on the oval lad 👍. My beautiful Wife 💕 trucking down the highway with me and my partners in racing.

Night 1 Heat 1 5th

Heat 3 5th. 16th in points
We made changes to the car to free it up as I couldn’t rotate the car in the top turn, for those who haven’t been to Gympie mother mountain speedway it’s shaped like a squashed pear that goes up a hill and down a hill. It’s not your typical flat dirt oval track, with 60 years of history it’s unique and as a driver it’s quitley rewarding if you can crack a tidy consistent lap around the place.
Night 2 Heat 1 2nd
Heat 2 2nd. Qualified 10th on grid
We moved up to 9th early. But struggled to make any further passes stick, At lap 15 on a restart l misjudged my entry speed coming into the top bend getting into the car in front of me, too much brake and turned around causing a stopppage this resulted in a DNF for me and my brother (sorry lad).
Being the first race for the VS at Gympie and the 2nd time racing at this track it was a fair result overall given our old school engine combination’s and gearing we need to run at a track like this.
Thank you to our parteners in racing and my wife Erica. Our next show will be Gladstone dirt dash in mid Nov, till then we will keep digging.
