Last weekend our SCoTs team attended the City of Cairns Tartan Day Competition 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and what a fabulous weekend it was for us! ❤️. Our team was made up of 8 Dancers - the biggest team we’ve taken to a Competition!! And we had some fantastic achievements 😍

❤️ Rose was given the Beginners Adjudicator Award 🤩
❤️ Chloe was given the Premier Adjudicator Award 🤩
❤️ Peyton and Libby took to the boards at their FIRST Competition! 👏👏
❤️ They are also the first sisters to be part of SharCeltica Competition team 🥰🥰
❤️ Sophie danced at Premier level for the first time 👏
❤️ Libby is the FIRST EVER Primary Dancer for SharCeltica 😍
❤️ This is the FIRST time SharCeltica has had Dancers compete in every level from Primary through Premier! 🙌
WOW! WOW! WOW! We are really writing some SharCeltica history today 🙌❤️
Everyone danced their hearts out, came away with new friends, and big smiles on their faces 🥰
BIG thanks to Miss Jackie for preparing the team and getting them to Competition for a great day ❤️😘

It was such a pleasure meeting Cheryl and watching the Cheryl Heggie School of Dancers perform today at the Glenurquhart Highland Games and Gathering. No matter where we are, Highland Dancing connects us and brings us together, forming friendships across the globe 🌎 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

I met the lovely Sharlene at Glenurquhart Highland Gathering & Games today. Sharlene, a fellow Highland dance teacher, runs SharCeltica Highland Dancers in Australia. Thank you for coming over to say hi and introducing yourself, I’m looking forward to hearing more about Highland dance in Australia. The Highland dance family truly is far reaching! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🤝 🇦🇺 These moments are what make the culture of the Highland Games so special. Finding friendships and shared culture with others.

On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond 🎶……..that’s where our bonnie sweetheart Ayla was spotted! Sporting her SharCeltica shirt and new tartan skirt, Ayla was snapped striking her favourite Highland poses while on holiday in Scotland! Ayla loves her dancing, and we love our Ayla 😍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

Some of us are born with dance in our hearts as well as our feet, and our Tijania just loves to dance ❤️. If bagpipes are playing, Tijania is dancing! Recently in London on holiday she found herself dancing the Highland Fling on Westminster Bridge! What a fantastic stage! Wow! That’s awesome Tijania! 🤩. Never stop dancing 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

We always love heading to Ayr for the Sugarcane and Sword Dances Competition, and this weekend has been no exception ❤️. In fact it was an exceptional day for our Dancers! 🤩. Chloe, Zoe and Rose finished their day with fabulous results and very big smiles! 🥰

It was a day of many firsts for our Dancers:
❤️ A year after her debut at this very Competition Rose received her first stamp on her Card! 👏
❤️ Rose was awarded a 1st place for the very first time - and for the Seann Truibhas no less! 👏
❤️ Rose won her first Trophy 🏆
❤️ Rose also won a terrific raffle prize (and her brother won the lolly jar!!). What a fabulous day Rose has had!! 🤩
❤️ Chloe danced 3 new Premier dances for the very first time! AND it is also the first time a SharCeltica dancer has competed in these dances. Leading the way for us Chloe! 👏🤩
❤️ Zoe may not have had a first today, but placed in every dance, including 2nd in the Trophy Hornpipe 👏. Notable mention for her success, consistency and grace 🤩
