EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST —
WESTERN KNIGHTS U23s 2027

Expressions of Interest are now open for players seeking an opportunity to join the Western Knights Under-23s for the 2027 season.

📍 Len Packham Reserve
📅 Thursday 1 October and Tuesday 6 October 7pm
✅ Selected players must be available for both trial sessions
⏳ EOIs close Sunday 27 September

Western Knights is a proud club with a rich history and a strong commitment to developing players for senior football.

Our Under-23s program plays an important role in the club’s pathway, providing ambitious young players with regular training and matchday exposure while preparing them for future first-team opportunities.

If you are committed, driven and ready to take the next step in your football journey, we would love to hear from you.

Massive news for our U11 Mosman Park Blue squad—the boys are taking the big stage this Saturday! ⚽🔥
After turning heads all season and receiving consistent praise from opposition coaches across the league, our U11s have been officially invited by former Socceroo Rhys Williams to compete in the Pre-State of Origin Clash at Inglewood United FC.

This invite is a massive testament to the dedication, teamwork, and heart shown week in and week out by our players, coaches, and supportive parents.

Our squad will battle it out in a high-stakes showcase series featuring some of Western Australia’s premier junior talent, serving as the official curtain-raiser before the massive WA vs Tasmania NPL State Teams showdown. Adding to the occasion, the WA State side will be led from the dugout by Western Knights alumni Ivan Zuvela!

🌟 U13 JDL 5 Team Spotlight

The Western Knights U13 JDL 5 team, led by coach Mate and supported by assistant coach Juan, has been developing into a fantastic group of young footballers.

The boys have shown great commitment, enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn throughout the season. Each player has continued to develop individually while also learning how to work together as a team. Their technical ability, confidence, decision-making and understanding of the game are all progressing, with the boys showing plenty of potential for the future.

What makes this group particularly exciting is the team spirit they have built. The players support and encourage each other, compete for one another and, most importantly, are enjoying their football. Every player brings different strengths to the group, and together they are creating a positive environment where everyone can continue to improve.

Mate brings a wealth of football experience and passion to the team, having been involved in football his whole life, including playing as a junior and spending more than five years involved in outdoor and indoor football in Split, Croatia. Alongside Juan, he is helping provide the boys with the guidance, support and encouragement they need as they continue their development.
As the boys progress through the JDL pathway, the focus is on developing well-rounded young footballers and preparing them for the next stages of their football journey. This is a group with plenty of potential, and we look forward to watching each player continue to grow, develop and hopefully progress through the Western Knights pathway in the years ahead.
Well done to all the U13 JDL 5 boys, and a big thank you to Mate and Juan for their commitment and support! ⚽❤️👏

🌟 TEAM SPOTLIGHT: CLUSTERS 🌟
At Western Knights, our future starts with our youngest players — and the youngest of all is our fantastic Under 6s and 7s Clusters Teams!⚽️❤️

The Football West Clusters Competition is a way for 5, 6 and 7 year olds to be introduced to our game, through fun training and Sunday morning games against other teams.

With boys and girls being involved, our supportive coaches teach them the fundamentals, helping them understand their roles, and most importantly, showing them how to enjoy football, work as a team and develop a love for the game and our club.

The Western Knights are proud to have been involved in Football West Clusters for over 10 years, and we are proud to have seen some of our early players even be involved in our senior teams!

👏 A huge congratulations to the entire Clusters team! The progress, enthusiasm and teamwork shown by our youngest players is fantastic to see, and they should all be incredibly proud of their efforts.

A special thank you to all the parents who generously give their time to assist during training sessions and on game days. Your support, encouragement and involvement make such a difference to our young players and help create the wonderful environment we have at Western Knights. ❤️

Every training session, every new skill and every game is another step in their development — and we’re excited to see these young Knights continue to grow.

Big game this Sunday!

Our Metro boys are at Nash Field for their final home game of the season in a massive 1st vs 3rd clash.
It’s shaping up to be a cracking game, so if you need your weekend football fix, come down and get behind them.

Kick-off is at 11am.

The bar will be open, and the canteen will be serving hot coffee and snacks.
Let’s get a good crowd down there to support the boys!
