Romanian deadlift (RDL) on the belt squat machine 🔥

A great option if you want to load the posterior chain (glutes + hamstrings) while changing the setup from a traditional barbell RDL.

Key cues:
✔️ Brace your core before every rep
✔️ Keep a soft bend in the knees
✔️ Hinge at the hips by pushing your hips back (this is NOT a squat)
✔️ Lower with control until you feel a big stretch through the hamstrings + glutes
✔️ Press the floor away, drive the hips forward & stand tall
✔️ Keep your spine neutral throughout the movement

The goal here is tension through the glutes + hamstrings, not how low you can go 👏🏼

MOTHERS DAY CLASSIC HALF MARATHON 💚

I genuinely can’t believe I didn’t cry crossing that finish line. I could feel the emotion building in those final kilometres, but I kept telling myself, hold it together until the end. (Although let’s be honest, that elevation around 18km nearly broke me 😅)

Today’s half marathon was bigger than just a race for me. I ran for Lyn, my Aunty, for every woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and for every family who has been impacted by it.

This is why awareness matters. This is why education matters. This is why fundraising matters.

Because if you have ovaries, or love someone who does, this is your business too.

And we need better outcomes. We need an effective early detection test for ovarian cancer. Right now, too many women lose their lives because they’re diagnosed too late.

Know the signs. Have the conversations. Advocate for your health. Support the research.

If you feel like you’re doing everything right but not seeing results, this could be why ⬇️

It’s not always your main meals.
Sometimes it’s the little extras adding up without you realising.

Spreads. Oils. Dips. Dressings.

They’re easy to underestimate, but can quickly add an extra 200–400+ calories into your day.

And no, you don’t need to cut them out.
You just need to be more aware of how much you’re actually using.

This is one of the first things I would suggest to look at, because it can make a big difference without overhauling everything.
