Round 8 saw the Wellways Panthers travel to Rosebud for another enjoyable day of Reclink footy against the Southern Peninsula Swans!

The Panthers should be incredibly proud of the way they represented themselves throughout the day, bringing plenty of positive energy, teamwork, resilience, and encouragement both on and off the field.

It was fantastic to see players supporting one another, embracing the spirit of the game, and making the most of the opportunity to get out, compete, and connect through football.

A big thank you to the Southern Peninsula Swans for hosting the match and to everyone who helped make the day possible. Days like these highlight the positive impact that community football can have in bringing people together and creating opportunities for participation, inclusion, and wellbeing.

Round 6 saw the Wellways Panthers take on the Melton Lions in a neutral venue clash, kindly hosted by the Salvo Hawks at Victoria Road Reserve, Hawthorn 🙌

It was a fantastic day of footy, with great spirit, teamwork, and plenty of positive energy on display from both sides. Players, coaches, supporters, and volunteers all contributed to making the day an enjoyable and successful occasion both on and off the field!

A big thank you to the Salvo Hawks for their hospitality and for providing the opportunity to bring everyone together for a great game of football.

Round 5 saw us join the Ballarat Bushrangers, Bendigo Gold, and Maryborough Ravens for a fantastic Regional Victoria 'Love The Game' round-robin footy carnival.

It was a great day all around, with everyone having a great time both on and off the field. The Love The Game initiative was well represented, with “Love the Game, Not the Odds” bags, merchandise, and helpful information available for all.

Round 3 Recap: Panthers Bounce Back 🐾

What a response from the Wellways Panthers in Round 3 of the 2026 Reclink season!

Taking on the Odyssey Bairnsdale Blues, the Panthers came out and delivered a strong team performance, running out 17-point winners in a great contest.

Final Score:
Panthers: 12.6.78
Blues: 10.1.61

It was fantastic to see the team hit their stride, with plenty of teamwork, pressure, and clean ball movement across the ground. A special highlight was the debut of our new Panthers playing kits, along with long sleeve yellow hi-vis tops for our vested players - the group looked sharp and wore the jumper with pride.

Congratulations to everyone who took the field - your effort and commitment showed from the first bounce to the final siren.
Thank you as always to our supporters who came along and brought the energy - it makes a huge difference! We’ll keep building from here 💪

Round 2 Recap: The ANZAC Day Clash 🌺

What an afternoon at the footy! The Wellways Panthers took on the Cohealth Kangaroos in Round 2 of the 2026 Reclink season last week.

Lest We Forget - Before the siren, we stood together for a moving ANZAC ceremony. A huge thank you to Mitch for playing the Bugle and to Megan for her powerful reading of the Ode. It was a privilege to pause and reflect as a community.

While the Panthers fought hard until the final siren, congratulations to the Cohealth Kangaroos for claiming the ANZAC Trophy this year in a fantastic, spirited contest.

The energy was incredible, and it was great to see such a big turnout from both clubs. A special welcome to our debutants who pulled on the Panthers jumper for the very first time today - you did us proud! To everyone on the sidelines cheering us on, thank you for bringing the noise and making the atmosphere so special.

Reclink Footy is BACK! 🏉

What a massive day for the Wellways Panthers as we kicked off Round 1 of the 2026 Reclink Footy season against the Southern Peninsula Swans! 🦢🐾

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout from both clubs. A huge shoutout to our new players who pulled on the jumper for the first time today! To the crowd of spectators who came down to cheer, thank you for making the atmosphere so special.

The Wellways Panthers are officially back on the Footy field! We kicked off the 2026 Reclink Footy season today with our first training session, and the energy was through the roof. It was fantastic to see everyone back together and getting stuck into some drills 🏉

Whether it was kicking some goals or just catching up with teammates, everyone had an absolute blast.

After training the players enjoyed a pizza feast!
