End of an era

Unfortunately, karting has come to end for us. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Thank you to our sponsors that have made it possible for us to go racing. And most of all, thank you to Mum and Dad. Without you, none of this would’ve been possible. We’ll always be grateful. 💙

GPS RD 3
A few weeks ago, we raced at round 3 of the Golden Power Series at Gippsland.

Chloe (out of 22) -
Practice 1: 5th
Practice 2: 7th
Qualifying: 15th
Heat 1: started 15th, DNF
Heat 2: started 15th, finished 7th
Heat 3: started 11th, finished 2nd, got DQ for being 200g underweight
Final: started 20th, DNF

Brodie (out of 22) -
Practice 1: 12th
Practice 2: 13th
Qualifying: 8th
Heat 1: started 8th, finished 12th
Heat 2: started 8th, finished 13th
Heat 3: started 14th, finished 10th
Final: started 10th, finished 10th

Chloe had good pace this weekend, getting the best result she’s had in heat 3. Unfortunately 2 DNFs and a DQ meant she couldn’t get the result she hoped for. Brodie struggled for pace held on to positions and raced well. Unfortunately, our trailer was written off on the way home, meaning Brodie has been withdrawn from the third round of AKC.

It’s race week!

This weekend we will be racing at round three of the Golden Power Series at Gippsland.

AKC RD 2
Last week, we travelled to Monarto in South Australia where Brodie competed in the second round of the Australian Kart Championship. He has never been to the track before so Friday was spent learning the track and getting the setup right. Unfortunately, we could not find the pace we needed and ended up fighting to keep position. Despite this, Brodie fought hard and raced well all weekend.

Brodie (out of 34) -
Qualifying: 24th
Heat 1: started 24th, DNF
Heat 2: started 24th, finished 16th
Heat 3: started 25th, finished 25th
Heat 4: started 22nd, finished 15th
Final: started 20th, finished 27th

The next race is round 3 of GPS at Gippsland.
