Eurocoast returned to Braidwood for another weekend- this time for Milton’s carnival!

This weekend we had an early celebration for Fletcher’s 10th Birthday- enjoying some party food and chocolate cake 🎂🎊

Briah, Maisey, Taj, Poppy, Fletcher and Darcy had a fantastic weekend in the Subbies comp, throwing some impressive goals and marking up strong.
⭐️ Special congratulations to Darcy and O’Briens Bear, who won Best Sub Junior Horse and Rider combination ⭐️

Willow, Carly, Claire, Sidney, Jed and Rhys played in the C Grade comp. They had a fun weekend, played a few cracking chukkas, and were spurred on by family rivalry when they came up against Braidwood! They came away Winners at the end of the weekend!

Wade played with a mixed Braidwood/Bungendore team this weekend, also in the C grade comp. They finished runners up to our Eurocoast team, despite Wade’s best efforts to get as many snaps off Carly as possible 😆

Ellena also played in the C grade comp, in with Milton. She had plenty of fun, and played well all weekend!

Farann played with Braidwood in the A grade comp. They had some tough tussles all weekend, and a few occasions where saddles were optional, but managed to finish the weekend Runners-Up!

Braidwood Carnival 2026

This weekend, Eurocoast had several players head to Braidwood for their annual carnival. Despite the drizzling rain and cool nights, the fires were toasty and roast dinner one of the best!

Briah, Taj, Poppy, Maisey, Claire and Darcy played in the Subbies. As usual, they all had a great time on and off the field, improving with every game and having a heap of fun whilst doing so!

Andrew, Fletcher, Sidney, Ellena, Tom and Jed had a cracking weekend, having lots of fun but also facing a few close games! They did so well to make it to the finals, and finished the weekend Runners-Up after a nail biting game against Lake George 3. This was an especially fun one, as our Willow played with Lake George 3 this weekend, so there was plenty of cheering and friendly fire going round.

Claire, Farann, Carly, Health, Wade and Rhys played in A grade. They didn’t come away winners, but had a very eventful weekend and enjoyed a few close games. A big congratulations to Carly, who won the Doug Peadon Horsemanship Award ⭐️

Special mention to Fletcher, who won Best Sub-Junior Boy, and Willow, who won Best Sub-Junior Girl! These awards were especially well deserved this weekend, after these two showed plenty of perseverance and flexibility.

Zone Champs 2026

Eurocoast had a very busy weekend at this year’s zone champs, hosted by Lake George.

We had lots of members proudly representing our club in Zone teams:
🔴⚫️ Willow and Fletcher played in the Sub- junior Championship competition, and finished up Winners!
Very special congratulations to Willow for being awarded Best No. 2 ⭐️

🔴⚫️ Darcy and Poppy played in the second SH team in the Sub- junior Championship competition. They had a fantastic weekend, playing very well with their team-mates and doing their best to lift to the tricky standard of competition.

🔴⚫️ Sidney played in the Championship Junior competition, and finished Runners-Up to the other Southern Highlands side. Despite the tough games, Sidney played very strong all weekend!

🔴⚫️ Jed played in the Intermediate A Grade, and came away Runners-Up. In true style, Jed rode hard and never stopped giving it his all.

🔴⚫️ Claire and Farann played in the Championship Women’s competition. They had some very competitive games, and unfortunately missed out on the final by 1 goal in the knockout match.

Club competition:
Briah, Taj, and Maisey played in the Subbies comp. They had another great weekend and continued to improve with every game.

A huge congratulations to Sidney who headed to Warwick to represent NSW Junior Girls at Barastoc. The girls had a cracking weekend, winning all 3 games!
Sidney had an unreal last game as a 3, playing all chukkas, and was awarded Player of the Match ⭐️
This is testament to her passion and determination not only over the weekend, but throughout the season so far!

Eurocoast travelled to Yass over the weekend, making the most of the sunshine and the stunning surrounds of Marchmont. The occasion marked a special one, with Yass hosting their carnival on home grounds for the first time in quite a while.

Darcy, Poppy, Taj, Briah, Ellena, Maisie and Paige competed in mixed teams in the Subbies comp. A huge turnout offered plenty of quality competition!
⭐️ A special mention goes to Taj, who was awarded Encouragement Subjunior!

Fletcher played in E grade with Harden, not only rising to the challenge of being up in the grades, but had a ball doing so.

Willow also had a great time playing up in E grade with Lake George, where some tough riding landed them with the win 🥇

Claire, Wade, Farann, Sidney and Andrew played in A Grade with Craig from Wollondilly. Despite not getting the win, they had some good tussles and walked away very happy with their horses.

Thanks to CatDan Photography and The Horsemans Way for some cracking shots!

Eurocoast had a few members travel over the mountain and down the Hume to fly the flag at Albury last week!

Willow, Poppy, Taj and Briah had a fabulous time at the coaching clinic, learning lots of new skills that they can’t wait to put into action on the field.

Sidney played in the NSW 1 Junior side. They played some great polocrosse and came away winners of the Junior Classic, with Farann as their coach.

Willow played in the NSW Barbarians side. Tough riding and use of some new skills from the week of coaching landed them in the final, and after a good tussle, they came runners up to NSW 1.

Briah, Taj and Poppy played in the Subbies comp over the weekend with a few other Southern Highlands friends. Their trusty steeds and fancy skills helped them come out Winners of Subjuniors!

Farann was part of the Incitec Pivot team in the Silver Stirrup competition. There was some impressive polocrosse to be watched, and after 3 tough games, they came away Runners Up to the Berragoon team.

Huge thanks to Albury Holbrook Polocrosse Club for hosting another fantastic Autumn Classic!
