St Mary's Primary School Moruya Welcome to St Mary's page. We enjoy celebrating learning and look forward to sharing this with each and everyone of you!

This is the official page for St Mary's Primary School Moruya. St Mary’s is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 6 Catholic primary school with a current enrolment of 250 children. St Mary’s is situated in close proximity to the majestic Moruya River and is surrounded by beautiful grazing land. Moruya is the traditional home of the Brinja-Yuin people from the southern side of the Moruya River and the Walbanga-Yuin from the northern side of the Moruya River. St Mary’s was established approximately 160 years ago by the Good Samaritan Sisters. The Sisters brought Catholic Education to Moruya and educated children from outlying farming districts, some of whom boarded at the convent. The school still bears the motto of the Good Samaritan Sisters, “In all things my God be glorified”. This is at the heart of all that happens at St Mary’s. St Mary’s is one of three Catholic schools on the South Coast and we are very conscious of providing a K -12 pathway in Catholic education for our children. St Mary’s maintains close contact with Carroll College in Broulee in terms of in service training, resource sharing and mentoring for our students.

What an incredible week it has been bringing Finding Nemo Jr. to life. To our wonderful families who supported us by creating props, assisting with hair and makeup, set design, costumes and everything in between; thank you. Your time, creativity and generosity helped make our production so special.

To Ms Guthrie, Mrs White and Mrs Drewsen, thank you for your incredible dedication, hard work and attention to detail in bringing this production together. The countless hours behind the scenes certainly showed on stage this week.

And to our amazing staff, students and families; thank you for coming together to make Finding Nemo Jr. such a memorable experience. From our talented performers to everyone working behind the scenes, it truly was a whole school effort.

We couldn’t be more proud of our students confidence, enthusiasm and joy they brought to the stage. And that’s a wrap!

Thank you to our Community Council and families for assisting with our cake stall and jar tombola fundraiser. The Community Counicl also have for sale some novelty Finding Nemo merchandise like silly straws and squishies.

We will again be accepting donations for our Thursday night show. If you are sending in cakes or slices, please send them in on Thursday morning to the school office for our community council team to prepare them for sale for our final performance. Thank you.

The day has finally arrived! Our first performances of Finding Nemo Jr. the Musical are here, and we can’t wait to welcome you to today’s matinee and evening shows!

We would love the support of our families with our Community Council fundraiser. We strongly encourage K–2 families to donate a slice or cake for today’s performances, and Years 3–6 families to contribute on Thursday. Donations of jars filled with goodies for our very popular tombola are also still warmly welcomed!

Thank you for supporting our school community. We can’t wait to see our talented students bring this wonderful musical to life!
