And what a beautiful little c**t to start us off!

A tiny, absolutely beautiful black c**t, Francis is extra special as he is the very first foal by our stunning stallion Bellagio 🖤

We’ve been so excited to see what this cross would produce and this little man certainly hasn’t disappointed. Tiny, refined and already completely adorable 🖤

There’s nothing quite like welcoming that first foal of the season and we think Francis is a pretty perfect way to begin. Karma has certainly kept us on watch for the last 6 days 🖤

Welcome to the world, little man. We can’t wait to watch you grow. 🖤✨

And glad Donna Tumo could join us to enjoy watching her first ever foal birth 🥰

That’s a wrap on my Nationals posts 🩷

Looking back through the photos, this one probably sums up Nationals better than any ribbon or trophy ever could.

Yes, I’m incredibly proud of the results our horses achieved, but I’m even prouder of every horse we took to Sydney and Tamworth. Whether they came home with a National title or not, every one of them walked into that ring looking and feeling their best, and that’s something I’ll always be proud of.

Showing horses has taught me that you don’t always win. One judge’s favourite might not be another’s and that’s what makes our sport so special. Success isn’t measured solely by the ribbons you bring home, it’s measured by the horses you produce, the effort you put in, friendships you make and the sportsmanship you show along the way.

To our incredible horses, thank you for trusting us every step of the journey. To everyone who supported, encouraged and celebrated with us, thank you.

Here’s to another show season done and dusted… and before long, we’ll be doing it all again, but until then it’s almost time to welcome some beautiful new foals to Winterfell 🩷

My final (and very belated!) IMHR Nationals post is all about my Princess Raven… 🐦‍⬛🖤

Kings Lane ATI Don’t Stop Me Now 🖤

As a youngster, Raven won multiple Supreme titles across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, topping off her junior career by being crowned National Supreme AMHA Exhibit as a 2 year old at the 2024 AMHS National Show. After that, we decided she’d earned a well-deserved break. ☺️

Fast forward two years and one day I was wandering through the paddock thinking… “Hmmm… you actually look pretty good.” 🤔

So, with just 3½ weeks until Nationals, it was officially boot camp time for Raven!

Some horses just never forget what they were born to do, and Raven is one of them. The moment we arrived in Tamworth she switched into show mode like she’d never been away. 🖤

Her IMHR National results were:
🏆 National Champion AMHA Mare 32–34”
🏆 National Grand Champion AMHA Mare
🏆 National Champion Miniature Mare 4–8 Years
🏆 National Grand Champion Miniature Mare
🏆 National Champion of Champions Senior Miniature Horse

A HUGE task to win the top award as a senior mare 🏆

I couldn’t be prouder of this beautiful girl. She reminded us exactly why she was such a successful youngster and proved that class never goes out of style.

I’ll pop a before and after photo in here so you can see the transformation from paddock princess to National Supreme Champion 🏆💐

Now comes the big decision… do we keep showing Raven a little longer, or is it time for our beautiful blackbird to have a little blackbird of her own? 🐦‍⬛🖤

Kings Lane Ready Aim Fire “Wi******er” ❤️

Wi******er attended the IMHR National Show with just 17 days of training under his belt, so we knew he could have benefited from a little more preparation. Despite that, we couldn’t be happier with how he performed.

Wi******er is a proud grandson of the beautiful Bolero, and we have been absolutely thrilled with his first few foals. He consistently stamps them with his refinement, tiny, beautiful head, excellent balance and quality.

We can’t wait to watch what both Wi******er and his offspring achieve in the years ahead. ❤️

Congratulations Liv and Sterling! 🩷

A huge congratulations to Olivia (Liv) Godber and Winterfell Bourne Supremacy “Sterling” on their fantastic results at the IMHR Grand National Show, taking out the title of Most Versatile Gelding.

This award is a true reflection of the time, dedication and hard work Liv puts into Sterling every single day. She does all of his training herself, puts in the hours behind the scenes and always gives 100% no matter the outcome.

Liv is one of the most hardworking and determined young horsewomen we know. She approaches every challenge with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a genuine love for her horse. Success like this doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from consistency, commitment and the special partnership she has built with Sterling.

We think the world of Liv and could not be prouder of what she has achieved. She is an exciting young trainer with a bright future ahead of her and we can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for this wonderful team.

Winterfell F King Fabulous - Estelle 🖤 what a story this is and one of our favourite ever memories from a National show!

Estelle had 4 weeks to go from fat paddock mare to show horse, and with almost being 5 it was a huge task as she’d never left the farm ever let alone to debut as a show horse at IMHR National show 🖤

With zero expectations other than she just behave she blew us all away winning 2 National Champions, 2 National Grand Champions and then National Supreme Small Horse Stock Type 🖤

We wish her new owner Skye all the best with Estelle and know she will produce her some beautiful babies 🖤
