Mortlake Recreation Reserve

The Mortlake Recreation Reserve Committee has planted some beautiful Manchurian Pear trees at Wilson’s DC Farran oval. These trees will become a feature and will also provide some welcome shade in the warmer months.
We have decided to honour Joe Stapleton who had the original vision for more shade trees at the Rec Reserve.
Thanks to the Robertson Family who took the time to plant these trees with care and arranged Joe’s plaque.

Although it didn’t go the Terang Mortlake Bloods’ way today, it is fantastic to see both clubs sharing stories over a cold one at our fantastic facilities.

The centre circle at Mortlake’s Wilson’s DC Farran oval is looking fantastic today for our Indigenous round. Don’t forget to come down to see the Terang Mortlake Bloods take on North Warrnambool Eagles today from 2pm for the top of the table clash! Plenty of high quality netball action too! ❤️💙

The Terang Mortlake Bloods get ready to welcome the North Warrnambool Eagles to the Wilsons DC Farran Oval on Saturday 30th May in a Hampden League top of the table football clash! Come down to see the footy and netball action. This is great for Mortlake so don your ❤️💙 and we’ll see you there!

On behalf of the Mortlake Recreation Reserve Committee we’d like to offer our condolences to the family of Joe Stapleton our esteemed volunteer who spend many hours quietly behind the scenes tending to our oval and grounds. Joe took great pride in his work and was always keen to share ideas on how we could best present our facilities.
We send special thoughts to Joe’s daughters Tara, Hailey and their families.
You will be missed Joey. Thank you for all that you’ve done.
