Suzanne Pettit and Mikola Lee have had a lovely time learing together and developing the Maitland Dance for Parkinsons class. 2026 brings big changes for Suzanne as she moves away from Maitland to be closer to family. We will miss Suzanne but classes will continue as usual under Mikola's leadership. Luckily Suzannne will still be with us at the first two classes for the year on Friday 6th and 13th Feb. We hope to see you there 😍

TODAY is AusArts Day and we would love your support!

Backed by recent WHO findings, this project tackles the growing crisis of social isolation—especially among older adults, where one in three faces disconnection with serious health impacts. Social connection is now seen as a vital third pillar of health, alongside mental and physical wellbeing, and community-based programs like dance are powerful solutions.

For people with Parkinson’s, staying active and connected is even more critical. Dance provides a joyful, evidence-based way to boost mobility, cognition, and social bonds—helping people stay independent and improve quality of life.
