Our MAG gymnasts had a weekend full of outstanding efforts and achievements, with boys representing our club in all 5 sessions across the weekend! Of course, as with any competition, there were some disappointing moments for the gymnasts, such as our highest-level gymnast Cameron England rupturing his achilles tendon. But as he was applauded out of the stadium we were reminded of the fierce tenacity required in the sport, and were so proud of the way the boys persevere through the challenges. Wishing Cameron a speedy recovery!
of the more exciting highlights include:
* Our veteran Nathan Johnstone returning to his first state championships after years out of the sport (not to mention medalling on rings!!!)
* Adam House, Phoenix Petrovic and Seth Edbrooke all catching their D-value releases on high bar!
* Ryley Chouliaras passing his level and medalling with a handspring front-salto on vault!
* 2 All-Around Victorian Champions: Kai Frost and Lakyn Webb! 🥈
* Bailey Gonsal winning gold on pommel horse after breaking his finger 5 weeks ago! 🥇
* 2 Victorian Champion TEAMS: Level 5 and Level 7 Open teams! 🥇
