Day 3 of our Wilsons Prom adventure! 🥾🌿

We woke to sunny skies and, thankfully, slightly less wind than the day before! We set off on a spectacular 13km one way hike from Derby Saddle to Tongue Point, continuing through to Darby River.

We stopped at beautiful Fairy Cove for lunch..possibly one of the best lunch spots you could ask for! This trail has a little bit of everything: sweeping coastal views, secluded beaches, rugged granite headlands and gorgeous bushland. It would have to be one of my favourite hikes at the Prom. 😍

After returning to our cabins for a well earned break, we headed out again to explore the Lilli Pilly Circuit at the base of Mount Bishop. This stunning little trail winds through towering eucalypts and lush fern gullies, with tiny mushrooms scattered along the forest floor. It felt completely different from our coastal hike earlier in the day! 🍄🌿

Another 27,000 steps clocked, and another absolutely brilliant day at Wilsons Promontory National Park! 💚

Day 2 of our Wilsons Prom multi-day adventure! 🥾🌿

We stepped straight out of our cabins, made our way down onto Norman Beach and set off on a spectacular 13 km hike along the coast.

It was certainly a windy start to the morning, which woke us all up pretty quickly! 😂 Thankfully, the wind began to ease as the day went on, allowing us to soak up even more of that incredible Wilsons Prom scenery.

After returning to our cabins for lunch and a little rest, we laced up our hiking boots again and headed out for another 5 km hike to the beautiful Squeaky Beach.

18 kilometres and approximately 30,000 steps for the day!!! 😅An absolutely brilliant effort by everyone and another incredible day exploring Wilsons Prom together. 💚

DAY ONE - WILSONS PROM MULTI-DAY ADVENTURE! 🌿🥾

Our adventure began at 9am as we made our way to Gurneys Cider for a cider tasting, lunch and a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of the cidery. 🍎🍺

It was the perfect way for everyone to meet, relax and connect before we continued our journey together.

From there, we headed straight to Wilsons Prom, grabbed our backpacks and wasted no time hitting the trail!

Our first challenge was the 6km return hike to the summit of Mount Oberon, and what a way to begin! We reached the top in perfect conditions, just as the sun was beginning to set over the Prom. The views were absolutely breathtaking. 🌅

An incredible first day, and only the beginning of our adventure!

Day one at Wilsons Prom, and look who finally managed to get a photo together! 😆😉

Michael and I are normally too busy organising everything and taking photos of everyone else, so this one deserves a post of its own. What a beautiful start to our four day adventure 💛🥾

Our community showed up for koalas! 🐨🌿
This morning, 30 incredible Walk Mornington Peninsula volunteers joined the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation team MP Koala Conservation in Flinders to help complete a major wildlife corridor planting project.

Together with Rotary Club of Mt Eliza and students from Woodleigh School, we helped get around 400 plants into the ground today—finishing an incredible three-day effort that saw more than 1,700 plants planted by over 150 people!

With so many willing hands, we certainly made light work of it… so a few of us headed to the Pig & Whistle afterwards for a very well-earned lunch! 😂🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today. I’m incredibly proud of the Walk MP community and how readily you show up to help when it matters. This is exactly what community is all about. 💚🐨🌱

And thank you to Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation for the important work you do and for inviting us to be part of it.

Warmly,
Taryn 🍃💛💫🥾

What a beautiful evening for our Full Moon Hike tonight! 🌕✨

The rain cleared, there was barely a breeze, and the weather was absolutely divine.

We had such a wonderful group join us, with almost three-quarters experiencing their first Walk Mornington Peninsula hike! I loved chatting with you all along the way.

We stopped at Bushrangers Bay for our letting-go ceremony before completing our 5km hike beneath the stars at Cape Schanck.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us tonight. I hope to see you all again soon! And a huge thank you to Michael for all his help and support, as always. 💛
