Hi everyone!
Apologies but tennis coaching WILL NOT be on at the club this week as we are in the process of finding a replacement for Bianca who has unfortunately, decided not to continue into 2022 at Moriac.
INTERIM ARRANGEMENTS
* Players in comp teams, your team managers will be in touch to organise something for your teams individually for the interim shortly.

**For our casual coaching students, we have a list of your emails and will be in touch as soon as possible.

Apologies to all of you who are no doubt keen to get started for 2022 but we hope that we can secure a great coach for our Club very soon.

Thanks for your understanding
Kind regards
The Moriac Tennis Club Committee

Please be advised that the AGM for the Moriac Tennis Club will be held on Monday 11th October 2021 at the Moriac Community Centre commencing at 7.30 p.m. I apologise for the relatively short notice but based on the current eased restrictions we can now hold a meeting (as per advice from Surf Coast Shire):

Community facilities:
Open with a maximum of 20 people per facility (please note indoor physical recreation and sport is open with 10 people per venue.)

Can you please make every effort to be there as there are a number of Constitution and rule changes that we need to discuss and ultimately vote on at the Tennis Geelong AGM. We will also be discussing the new Tennis Coach for the Club.

I have also attached the minutes from last year’s AGM for your info and please come along to the AGM to have your say on how the Club operates and can continue to provide tennis for as many as possible.

Kind regards
The Committee of Moriac Tennis Club

The Club Committee are pleased to introduce, Bianca Duff. Bianca has come on board as our Club coach from commencement of Term 4 2021. As a Club, we have been keen to develop, (particularly the junior members), of our Club but have not had a formalised agreement in place with a Club Coach so this is very exciting for us.
For those who do not know, we have been advised indirectly, that Dean, (the coach who was operating privately from our Courts on Thursdays), is no longer operating in the Surf Coast area. We thank Dean for assisting so many of our juniors over the years and getting them comp ready and wish him well.

We will formally introduce Bianca at our upcoming AGM (soon to be announced) but in the mean time, she is ready and raring to go for Term 4.
For coaching session information, Bianca can be contacted on 0449008491 [email protected]

Hello friends!
There has been some confusion of late, regarding the use of the tennis courts and the verandas for non tennis club activities. I seek to clarify this for you.
The Moriac Tennis Club have a new lease (which was negotiated and agreed upon in 2020),with the Surfcoast Shire which means that club activities and the use of the facilities is at the Clubs discretion as a Committee. (This has been clarified today with the Shire). With this in mind, it is very important to the club that anything that we approve is done in collaboration and with the best interests of our wonderful community.
Our club has intentionally requested to keep the facilities public so that they can be enjoyed by all for casual use.
However, any commercial activities being undertaken need to be registered with the club as it is our responsibility to ensure that safety and legal aspects are formalised for the safety of all users.
This is new to us too as prior to this new lease there were no clear guidelines in place. We will be having a meeting this week to set out clear guidelines for all commercial groups using the courts and will fully disclose what this will look like soon after.
We have absolutely no intention of disallowing activities that are obviously very important to the folk of Moriac as long as they meet legal and safety requirements.
I know there is a lot of gossip going on about different things but can we please, just put that all aside now and support each other so we can work towards our shared goal of health and well-being.
I welcome your positive comments here and please feel free to private message me your concerns so that we can take them into account at our Committee meeting this week. Cheers Sheridan, Club President.

Please be advised that the AGM for the Moriac Tennis Club will be held on Monday 14th December 2020 at the Moriac Community Centre commencing at 7.30 p.m. Apologies for the relatively short notice but it has all been dependant on easing of restrictions and then finding a suitable date.

Please come along to the AGM to have your say on how the Club operates and can continue to provide tennis for as many as possible.
