Parkdale Pacers Basketball Club

Parkdale Pacers Basketball Club Parkdale Pacers Basketball Club invites you to be part of our continued success. The Parkdale Pacers Basketball Club was founded in 1993.

It was initially known as the St John’s Basketball Club, due to its association with St John Vianney’s primary school in Parkdale. Teams wore a blue and white uniform and the club fielded a small number of teams at the Sandringham Basketball Association (SBA) in Tulip Street Cheltenham. In 1997 the club changed its name to the Parkdale Pacers Basketball Club and updated its uniform to a more moder

n style, while changing its colours to a distinctive teal and white. In recent times the club has experienced great success with one of the highest levels of participation in the SBA. The Club is Incorporated and affiliated with both Southern Basketball Association and Basketball Victoria. Currently, the Club consists of approximately 400 junior members playing across more than 50 teams. We offer qualified training in the skills of basketball and formal games played against other local clubs in the Bayside and Kingston communities. The Club continues to experience strong growth, thanks in great part to the dedication of our coaches (all volunteers) and the wonderful families that are part of the greater Pacers family.

We have just been advised that Mentone Girls is not available from 23rd – 30th October so we have had to move games to different venues.

Mordy Flyers, Mentone Mustangs and Parkdale Pacers have given up their training venues so these games can be moved.

On Monday 23rd October – Games will be played at Parkdale Secondary College.

Tuesday 24th October – Games will be played at Parkdale Secondary College.

Wednesday 25th – Games will be played at Beaumaris Secondary College – unfortunately we may not be able to add this venue into the fixtures as it is not one of our usual venues so games may still show as playing at Mentone Girls but will be played at Beaumaris Secondary College 117-135 Reserve Road Beaumaris. Please make sure your teams are aware of this. We will try and have this changed before the games.

Thursday 26th October – Games will be played at Parkdale Secondary College.

Friday 27th October – We do not have an alternative venue so we have given two competitions that don’t have byes for the whole season a Bye that week.

Saturday 28th October – still working on this, we can move these games to Sunday, please check with your teams if they are able to play, if not we will change these games to a double bye so they are not penalised with a forfeit. Please let your Age Coordinator know by Thursday 7th September if your 18 A and B grade teams can play on Sunday 29th October?

Monday 30th October – Games will be played at Parkdale Secondary College.
