Official page of Moreton Bay Basketball The Moreton Bay Suns are the Clubs and Representative teams of Moreton Bay Basketball.

Junior Club basketball is played every Thursday evening at the Morayfield Sports and Events Centre, Seniors basketball is played every Tuesday night also at the Morayfield Sports and Events Centre
In the past the Suns have competed in all Basketball Queensland competitions including QBL, SBL, BQJBC, SQJBC and the Basketball Queensland's State Championships. In 2022, the Moreton Bay Suns teams will compete in the Men's and Women's QSL competition as well as numerous SQJBC junior divisions.

RESPECT OUR OFFICIALS — KEEP BASKETBALL POSITIVE

As we head into finals across our Senior & Junior competitions, we know the excitement and emotions can run high.

Our referees are an important part of keeping our games running, and we need everyone to help create an environment where they feel respected, supported and welcome.

A friendly reminder to all players, coaches, parents and spectators:

Parents and spectators are asked to remain outside the playing area.
�Please don’t approach officials during or after games.
�Coaches are responsible for managing their players.
�If you have a concern, please speak with a supervisor who can assist.

Let’s remember that everyone is here because they love basketball.

A little respect and encouragement can make a huge difference.

Respect the game. Respect our officials. Respect each other.

Because without our referees, there is no game.

As a club with many junior players and families, we recognise the important role community sport plays in providing safe, positive and inclusive environments for children and young people.

Child Protection Week highlights the shared responsibility we all have in ensuring children feel safe, valued, respected and heard. From coaches and volunteers to parents, players and supporters, every member of our basketball community contributes to creating a culture where young people can thrive.

Moreton Bay Suns Basketball has a Child Friendly, Child Protection Policy developed especially for our junior members. This child-friendly guide helps young people understand their rights, how we help keep them safe, who they can talk to if they are worried, and what they can expect from everyone involved in our club.

We encourage our junior players and families to take a few minutes to read the policy attached to this post and learn more about how we work together to create a safe, welcoming and respectful basketball community for all.
