🏁 SEPTEMBER AT MJMC! 🏁

We are getting closer and closer to our first race event in many years - Central Highlands Series, Round 2, right here in Moranbah on 24 October 2026! 🧡🖤 We are SO excited to see racing return to our track!

But there is still lots of work to do! 💪

We cannot thank our incredible volunteers enough for the hours they have already put into getting our track and grounds back up and running. MJMC simply wouldn’t be where it is today without you! 🫶

🐝 Our September calendar has plenty of Working Bees and Ride Park Days, and we would absolutely love as many helping hands as possible. Please, please, please come down and lend a hand where you can!

Members are also regularly working at the track outside our scheduled working bees, particularly throughout the school holidays. If you’re around and keen to help, send us a message! We also have a Volunteers Chat that we can add you to, with information on works needing to be done!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who painted the fence behind the start gates, ready for our new sponsor signs. We’re incredibly proud to now have the businesses that helped us get our track back up and ready for racing displayed along the fence, as well as recognised at the front gate. 💙

We’re also making great progress restoring Greeny's Gates! The new Greeny's Gates signs are officially up, and our next job is to repaint the gates themselves, stay tuned!

The signs look fantastic, and we are so grateful to every sponsor, supporter and volunteer who has helped us work towards our goals. We are also grateful for all the efforts still yet to come, to get ready for our first race meet in October!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Moranbah Junior Motocross Club for our Central Highlands round on 24 October! 🏆

🏁 AUGUST RIDE PARK DAYS 🏁

Firstly, we want to say a big sorry that we haven’t been able to open the track so far this August! 💙

We’re right at the pointy end of motocross season, and our committee and families have been away racing every weekend throughout August, with plenty of double headers and LOTS of travelling! 🏍️💨

We really appreciate everyone’s patience. The good news is we’re already working on our September calendar, and we have plenty of Ride Park opportunities coming your way! 🙌

But we’re not letting August finish without getting some bikes on the track! 👇

🏁 THURSDAY 27 AUGUST — RIDE PARK AFTERNOON
⏰ 3:00pm – 6:00pm

🙋 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
• Timer/Chequered Flag

🏁 SUNDAY 30 AUGUST — RIDE PARK DAY
⏰ 9:00am – 2:00pm

🌭 Sausage Sizzle + drinks available

🙋 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

• Canteen helper
• BBQ cook — we need someone on the tongs! 🌭🔥

Our club can only run these days with the help of our amazing volunteers, so if you can lend a hand for even part of the day, please let us know! 💙

We would like to send a massive THANK YOU to Bullock Creek Beef for their incredibly generous donation of 200 sausages to Moranbah Junior Motocross Club! 💙

These sausages will be going straight onto the BBQ at our upcoming Ride Park days, helping us raise much-needed funds for the club. 🌭🔥

We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get our track and facilities ready to host racing events, and every dollar we can raise through our Ride Park days helps us get one step closer to making that happen. 🏁🏍️

Support like this from local businesses makes such a difference to a volunteer-run club, and we are so grateful to Bullock Creek Beef for getting behind MJMC and our riders.

🔧🏁 MJMC VOLUNTEERS CHAT - WE NEED YOU! 🏁🔧

We’re creating a MJMC Volunteers Chat to make it easier for everyone to know when and where we need a helping hand around the track! 🙌

This chat will be used to share:
🔧 Jobs that need to be completed around the track
🚜 When committee members or volunteers are heading down to get some work done outside of organised working bees
📅 Upcoming working bee dates and information
🏁 Volunteer positions needed for Ride Park days
🙋 Opportunities to lend a hand whenever you have some spare time

We have a lot of work happening behind the scenes as we continue getting our track ready to host race days, and our committee has been working incredibly hard to keep things moving. But many hands make light work! 💪

You don’t have to commit to full days or every working bee. Whether you can spare an hour here and there, a few hours, or an entire day, we would absolutely love to have you involved.

💙 There are also benefits to volunteering your time at the track, as we’ve mentioned in our previous posts. It’s a great way to support the club, meet other members and help us continue improving our facilities for our riders and families.

📅 SEPTEMBER IS GOING TO BE A BIG MONTH!
We’re currently putting together a September calendar with plenty of Ride Park days AND working bees, so there will be lots of opportunities to get involved, both on and off the bike! 🏍️🔨
