MGC - 13th September 2026

The club held their mixed championship over a 2 day period. After being cancelled the previous Saturday due to weather conditions, it was played on Saturday and Sunday.

Both days were perfect weather wise, awesome days to be out in our great outdoors.

Very close scores were carded after the first day from three groups, all hot in contention for the win🏆.

Congratulations to our mixed foresome pair Lyn and Tony, who run out winners by four strokes. 🏆🏆🏁👏👏👏

MGC - Saturday, 22nd August.

GIRLS RULE, AGAIN!!!

The day looked bright and sunny for the boys who thought, 'golf a piece of cake 🍰 for a good win. Of course they were after the win to topple our DR of the podium, (🏆 champion golfer for past 2 weeks).

Alas, new champion golfer for this week, (again female).

Loads of fun, great course conditions and lots of rivary.

MGC - Saturday, 15th August, 2026.
Our winner for this week has been playing her best golf of late, holding good consistency within her game. Congratulations to Di, it has been a fantastic exhibition of "how to play golf", (lesson please).

Once again, the weather God's had favoured us and made the day very pleasant. No lift, wipe and place, play as it lies was the rule for the day.

Last Saturday our members said their farewells to Craig and Sheree Sculthorp, who are heading to Victoria to live and be with family.

Although it was a sad occasion for everyone, as tears welled up in eyes, but also smiles as stories were told from memories gained throughout the Sculthorp's time at the club.

Joining us for the day was Sheree's daughter Lauren.
Lauren blessed us with some of her homemade cooking talents, caramel tarts, yours truly thought they were the bees knees 🐝

We will certainly miss the Sculthorp family for their drive, wit and banter amongst us all. We will also miss the visits from Lauren, a very pleasant and beautiful bubble that bounced around the course.
Not only bounced, but an awesome sight of running around on the course which excited many.

Take care Craig and Sheree, we will miss you.

MGC - 8th August 2026

The day was full of sunshine at the club, pearler conditions with a great event. The day was sponsored by Drummond Golf, thanks to Jason, Andrew and Bill. Your sponsorship for the monthly medal is appreciated and important for small clubs like ours.
With weather at it's best, we saw some good results come in and closely contested. We had a new winner this week. A good week for Di to be at her peak. 🏌️‍♂️(Knocked off RA).

This coming Sunday's game has been pushed forward to Saturday 8th Aug.

Saturday's game saw a change of guard for the leaders board. Yes, that other lot did play but...😭😭.
Course has dried up well from the down pour earlier on in the week, so scoring should have been a "piece of cake 🍰", so to speak. But the saying doesn't always run true to form, with some posting very low scores, including yours truly.

Well, Captain JB wanted putts to go along with stableford points. An interesting and unusual format, but so is our JB 😆. A good field was lured to the course as it was all players win a prize. Great prizes; Drummond vouchers, chocolates and golf balls.
