This Female Football Week, SDSFA proudly recognises the incredible women who are the heartbeat of our football community. ⚽💜
From coaches, managers, registrars and committee members, to mentors, volunteers, referees, canteen coordinators and players — these women go above and beyond every single week to create opportunities, build inclusive environments, and support the growth of football for everyone.
Their contributions stretch far beyond the field. They dedicate countless hours to mentoring young players, supporting families, organising teams, coordinating registrations, fundraising, developing female football programs, improving club facilities, and ensuring our clubs continue to thrive both on and off the pitch.
Many have helped pioneer all-girls teams, champion Football4All initiatives, recruit and mentor junior referees, and inspire the next generation of girls and women to get involved in football with confidence and passion.
Female Football Week is about celebrating the ladies who lead with generosity, resilience, community spirit, and an unwavering love for the game. The impact these women have on our clubs and communities is immeasurable, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.
Thank you for continuing to inspire, support, and strengthen football in our district. 💪⚽
