🖤🤍 2027 COACH ANNOUNCEMENT – UNDER 12 GIRLS!
We’re excited to announce Andrew as our Under 12 Girls Coach for 2027!
After six years as an assistant coach at the Valley, Andrew is ready to take on his new role!
Here’s what Andrew had to say 👇🖤🤍
Hi, I’m Andrew, and I’ve been involved with Moonee Valley Football Club as an assistant coach for the past six years, spending five years with the Under 10s before joining the Under 14 Girls this season.
My coaching philosophy is centred on development, teamwork, effort and enjoyment. I want to create a positive and inclusive environment where every girl feels valued, supported and confident to give things a go, while also being challenged to improve and reach her potential.
For 2027, I’m looking forward to helping the girls develop their fundamental football skills, including kicking, handball, marking, tackling and positioning, while building their game awareness and understanding of how we work together as a team.
Just as importantly, I want to build a strong team culture where the girls support each other, communicate, show respect and take pride in representing Moonee Valley. I believe players develop best when they enjoy coming to training, feel comfortable making mistakes and are encouraged to back themselves.
Having worked across different junior age groups, I understand the importance of building strong foundations and helping players develop the skills and confidence they need for the next stage of their football journey.
Ultimately, my goal is for the girls to finish the season as better footballers, more confident individuals and a team that is proud to wear the black and white.
I’m excited about the opportunity to lead the Under 12 Girls in 2027 and to continue contributing to the development of girls’ football at Moonee Valley, with the hope of seeing more players progress through the junior pathway and into senior football at the Valley.
Bring on 2027!
Go Valley 🖤🤍🖤
