The Winter Solstice and a cold, rainy Saturday, didn’t stop 17 Aberfeldie Masters runners from getting out and about. Sixteen ran or volunteered at parkrun while Shaun ran a Half Marathon around Albert Park in a solid time of 1:30:32

Sarah 7th (first female) in 25:58, just shy of her course PB.

Maggie 241st in 30:36 and 66% Age Grading.

Sunday saw better weather for the running of the track 10,000m Browne Shield at Casey.

Dave A and John P ran the 25 laps in the M55 division, with Dave taking silver in a smart time of 39:57, while John finished 6th in 45:32, with his time good enough to win Event 3.

Michael O again fronted up for the Geelong Cross Country, completing the 5Km course in the You Yangs in 40:40.

Our Bendigo connection was represented by Murray who raced over 6.5Km at Longlea, finishing 3rd with a time of 32:48

An update from John K.
Ten marathons in 10 days in Townsville. Kappa was the Sweeper for each event and as such was out on the course for many hours.

An amazingly warm night for June saw nearly all of our top-ranking sprinters coming out to play, and a very healthy number of runners too. Many thanks to Gipsy Channy for the photos this week.

The golden boys and girls this week were --
100m - Kris - 82.0% straight out of the blocks! (Marlon on 81.1%)
1500m - Maggie - 68.3%
400m - Brett - 85.7%
4000m - David Jones - 63.6%

Maggie competed in the 100m (17.95sec), 400m (First) in 85.41 and 800m (first) in 3:16.46.

John K is up there running 7 marathons in 7 days! He had completed number 2 when Maggie bumped into him.
