Reflecting on an incredible week at the 2026 BlueFit ‘Back to Basics’ Conference!

Last week, 180 of our leaders from across Australia gathered at the NEC Hangar in Melbourne. Looking around the room, it was a proud moment to reflect on how far we’ve come. Today, the BlueFit family has grown to nearly 3,000 staff nationwide! 🇦🇺

We’ve grown not just in numbers, but in our impact. from teaching life changing skills at BlueFit Swimming to giving back through the BlueFit Foundation.

Going ‘Back to Basics’ was the perfect opportunity for our growing leadership team to connect, and ensure that as we expand, our core values and community focus stay stronger than ever.

A huge thank you to our team for an inspiring week. We are excited for the next chapter! 🙌

Looking back at National Reconciliation Week, BlueFit proudly reflects on this year’s powerful theme: "All In." This theme is a call for all Australians to step forward, take responsibility, and actively contribute to reconciliation every single day. 🖤💛❤️

Across our 60+ facilities nationally, reconciliation is central to our mission of creating inclusive spaces. This journey is guided by our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and beautifully represented by our RAP artwork, created by proud Gomeroi woman Caitlin Trindall of Mirii Art.

To see what being "All In" looks like in action, several of our team members recently engaged with local communities to listen, learn, and connect:

🍃 Bush Tucker Cooking run by Cultural Gardens

✨ Celebrating Country and Culture with traditional dancing by Stacie of Djirri Djirri (sharing Wurundjeri, Dja Dja Wurrung, and Ngurai Illum Wurrung culture), and a weaving session with Aunty Marilyn Duff.

🍂 Boonwurrung Seasons Yarning Circle guided by Thara Brown (Yorta Yorta), founder and Creative Director of Wala Connections.

🙌 A Keynote & Flag Raising with Melton City Council

☕️ Experience First Nations flavours with coffee prepared by the Killara Foundation.

Thank you to the local councils and community organisations who hosted these welcoming, educational, and inspiring events. While National Reconciliation Week is ending, our commitment continues. 🤝

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning.
We will remember them.
