Well it has been over 12 months in the making but this evening it all becomes a reality.

The launch of a Motorsport scholarship in the great man’s honour!

In the beginning I had no idea if this would ever become a reality, how to approach it, where to even start.
Come a year later and with the support of several generous Tasmanian businesses it has arrived.

The birth of “Mozzas Mates Motorsport” into a fully fledged scholarship to assist a young racer in their pursuit of a motorsport dream.

This scholarship will include a kart from Energy Corse Racing Karts Tasmania, team support and data acquisition, set up, development and testing and a number of other items from supporting businesses.

It has been a great honour to put together something to remember a special friend, not only to me but to most people that crossed Mozza’s path.
Mozza was deeply generous, always willing to give anything to put a smile on someone’s face.
This scholarship embodies his spirit by offering a young Tasmanian the chance to pursue and realise their Motorsport aspirations.

The decision hasn’t been a quick one, the recipient had to be someone that embodied Mozza’s principals, followed his beliefs and had a bond with the great man.
This young person had to display great character on and off the circuit, be willing to help others and generally strive to do the best they can but have a lot of fun along the way.

It is my great pleasure to announce that Elenah Rankin has been awarded the inaugural “Mozza’s Mates Motorsport” scholarship for 2023 and beyond.

Elenah has displayed all of the characteristics required to be a worthy recipient.
Her kindness, compassion and willingness to support others at the circuit is something I personally have seen on many occasions.
Elenah is a tireless competitor on track, always giving 100% and applying her craft to the highest standard.

Please wish me in welcoming Elenah Ranking Karting to Energy Corse Tasmania and Mozza’s Mates Motorsport.

We look forward to assisting Elenah and her family in pursuing her Motorsport dreams.

So proud to be making this post!

Mr Mitchell Conroy snagged the 1st for the Archeville Classic Black plate for Ka4 Junior light at Launceston this weekend and we couldn't be happier about the situation!

Such a great kid and driver and an amazing fam-bam! Very well deserved win and we all hope he is soaking it up after a long and hot weekend at Launceston Kart Club

2022 Tasmanian Karting Championship – Energy Corse TAS

Wow what a huge weekend smiles and laughs all round to and from the track to live ducks to overcooked ducks you name it, it happened. A mega thank you to Dean from ‘Marquee Hire and Portable Toilets’ for the tent set up, Jason White, Simon Rolland, H***h and everyone in the team for their hard work in organising for the weekend. After the sun to the cloud to finally some rain on Money Day “Sunday” we managed to come away with some trophy candy for the big fella upstairs. It was one of his major dreams to get a blue plate in the team as soon as we could, and it only took us a year and a bit and we got damn lucky. Let’s just think back to nearly two full years ago this team was started, and it took off in absolute leaps and bounds.

This year Energy Corse Tasmania entered a staggering 20 karts into this years Tassie Titles, the big man would have been absolutely chuffed, congratulations team the big Mozz would be very proud of all performances even with some of the ups and downs throughout the drivers weekends they happen and always will but well fight back next year.

A huge congratulations to KA3 Senior Light driver Ethan Wyllie on grabbing the win in his class.

Another massive congratulations to TAG 125 Restricted Light driver Scott Hildyard who also snagged the win in his class.
