Gold Coast Polocrosse Club Formed in the late 1960's, the Gold Coast Polocrosse Club is still going strong

Vale Jamie Hay 🤍

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jamie Hay passed away in the early hours of this morning.

Jamie was a much-loved past member of the Gold Coast Polocrosse Club, with his parents, Alan and Dorothy, both proud Life Members of the Club.

Jamie was an exceptionally talented polocrosse player who rode some very good horses and was always a hard-working and valued club member. He represented Gold Coast with great pride and enjoyed many successes throughout his playing years.

Jamie was a member of the Gold Coast junior team that won the Queensland Club Championships, and in 1988, he was part of the Gold Coast 1 team that successfully won the Queensland Club Championships in A Grade.

It was particularly special that, just this past weekend, many Gold Coast members had the opportunity to catch up with Jamie, and he was able to watch his family play. We are so grateful they had that time together.

Our deepest condolences go to Lou and all of Jamie’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

Jamie was a truly wonderful man who made a lasting contribution to our club and the sport he loved. **He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest peacefully, Jamie. 🤍

Congratulations to Gold Coast Polocrosse Club’s First Side, who took out the prestigious Championship A Grade title after an exciting final against Tansey! 🏆🐎
Gold Coast 3 team beat Rockhampton in final - great Polocrosse to watch!
What a momentous occasion for our club stalwarts, The Franklins, who were immensely proud to see Gold Coast show up, compete with determination and represent our club with such pride throughout the season.
This victory is a true reflection of the commitment, hard work, teamwork and passion that has gone into building our club and supporting our players.
A huge congratulations to our players, coaches, umpires, supporters, volunteers and everyone who has contributed to making 2026 such a memorable season.
