Coaching Announcement
We are excited to announce our 2027 U16 Girls Coaching Team, Trent as Head Coach, with Pete and Beth as Assistant Coaches!
Trent has been part of The Basin Football Club for the past six years through his two daughters and brings a wealth of coaching experience. He was an Assistant Coach in 2020 before taking on Head Coach roles from 2021 to 2024, coaching teams to back-to-back premierships in 2022 and 2023.
In 2026, Trent took on the role of Girls Coaching Coordinator and U12 Reds kicking coach, while also being involved in Girls Footy Operations and the Girls Committee. Trent is passionate about girls football and creating a positive, nurturing environment where every girl can build confidence, develop and enjoy their footy.
Pete has been involved at The Basin for a number of years and has a lifelong connection with footy, having played from his teenage years through to young adulthood. With both his daughter and son playing at The Basin, Pete has a strong connection to the Club and is passionate about supporting the girls program and helping develop the next generation of players.
Pete has a strong love of fitness and brings his focus, determination and resilience to the coaching group. He is looking forward to being part of the girls’ football journey in 2027 and helping create an environment where they can develop, challenge themselves and enjoy their footy.
Beth joins the Team after being part of our 2026 U14 Red premiership coaching team and playing with our Senior Women’s Reserves for the past two years. With a strong fitness background, having previously owned and operated a CrossFit gym for 10 years, and a passion for bodyweight calisthenics, Beth brings plenty of energy, fitness knowledge and a love of competition. As a mum, Beth is passionate about creating a positive environment where girls can build confidence, friendships and resilience, while helping create a strong pathway from junior to senior football.
Together, Trent, Pete and Beth are passionate about developing our girls, building confidence, creating a strong team culture and, most importantly, making sure they love their footy. We can’t wait to see what this group can achieve in 2027!
