To the mums of our cricket club - the ones who coach teams, work behind the scenes, cook the sausages, score the games, help in the canteen, give the loudest cheers from the boundary and quietly wipe away the tears after a tough innings or missed catch - thank you.

Junior cricket is about far more than what happens on the pitch, and our club simply wouldn’t be what it is without the time, care, patience and heart you give so generously.

You are the real all-rounders of our club.

We’d like to sincerely thank Monto Race Club Inc for once again trusting us to run the BBQ as a fundraiser for our club.

The weather turned it on and the grounds looked an absolute picture. While we missed the horses and the atmosphere they bring, it was great to see the club push on and deliver a successful phantom meeting.

A huge thank you to our parents who prepped onions and coleslaw on Friday, and to the team who worked tirelessly on the BBQ today - this club runs on your support.

We’re proud to be raising funds that go straight back into our junior cricketers.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported us - we truly appreciate it 👏

That’s a wrap on another great cricket season 🏏

While the weather may have interrupted us a few times, the spirit, enthusiasm and improvement from our kids never missed a beat.

A big thank you to our amazing families for your ongoing support each week - from setting up, helping out, and packing away. It truly makes this program possible.

A real highlight this season was seeing some of our kids have the incredible opportunity to play at the Gabba - a special experience they won’t forget.

We’re incredibly proud of all our players - from those just starting out to those stepping up into representative and club cricket. It’s been fantastic to see kids playing with Isis in Bundaberg, competing strongly across the season, and others representing at higher levels.

Some special mentions:
👏 Max Burnham – Bundaberg rep honours, Bundaberg cricket medallion 45+ runs in a game, and Isis Best Batting Average
👏 Libby Price– Isis Coaches Award, plus representing U15 Scorchers and Wide Bay school representative
👏 Cooper Wells – Isis most runs for the season (177)
👏 Nicholas Wells – U16 Bundaberg East side, finishing runners-up
👏 Prue Burnham – Wide Bay U15 school representative
👏 Theo Kelly– Wide Bay U16

These opportunities come with a big commitment from families - thank you for the time and support you give your kids.

Thanks again to everyone who made this season what it was. We feel very lucky to be part of such a great cricket community.

Thanks to the organisers for the update and all the hard work that goes into making the Monto Races happen each year.

For our Cricket Club, this is one of our two major fundraisers, and we’re proud to be running the BBQ again this year. Your support goes directly back into our young players and the club.

We respect the decisions that have been made, with safety the top priority, and encourage everyone to still come along, join in the fun, grab a bite to eat and support the day.

• Free Entry - if you purchased via Trybooking a refund will be processed this week

• No Calcutta on Friday evening, however please support the Albert over the weekend.

• a reminder we are a licensed event & NO underage drinking will be tolerated - you will be asked to leave. NO BYO alcohol.

Please remember this event is run by a small group of volunteers who have put in countless hours.

We ask that our decision is respected and that there is no negativity. The safety of the horses & jockeys is our number 1 priority.
