Volunteers needed.

I'd like to call on the Karting community to help our sport and help our clubs by volunteering to help. It's not only what the sport can do for you it's what you can do for your sport. This year it has been a struggle to get enough people to run meetings and we have been pretty close to cancelling a few meetings. Next year we have 4 less officials so we need people to stand up and help, for far too long it's been the same people running every meeting and the officials can only do so much, they have a life as well. Your club committee members spend a lot of time on race days keeping the meeting running, not to say the work they do in the background keeping your club going, a lot of the time it's at a detriment to their kids racing as they can assist them on race day, I know that from my own experience.

So what do we need to do? We now need people to learn the timing system, we have probably 1 person per club now so we have no redundancy, we need more race day officials, if your not racing please help, weather it is on the in grid or out grid, even if you help for a few hours it would be of great assistance. We need a state tech and race day techS .Your club needs your help to do basic maintenance.

I can see if we don't get enough help on race days we will have to go back to a roster system where you will be rostered on for a period of the day to do something and if you can't do it you will have to find someone who can replace you. If we don't get help, meetings will have to be cancelled.

Cadet program track closure

Saturday 10th September the track will be closed from 8:30am until 11:30am for the next session with prospective new Cadet drivers!

Normal service resumes at 11:30am for members

Round 3 of the Festival State Cup was hard fought today by GAF members Mark Paneras and Jeremy Smith. It was tight racing all day, but both picked up valuable points for the series, and both came away with third place trophies for the final! Thanks to John Sicuro for being an Official (Malaka) today too. Volunteers make all this happen 😎

Another great racing weekend for the GAF Racing team at Barossa go kart club. 2nd place finishes for Andrew Gunn and Mark Paneras in their class and a third place finish in Heat 1 for Joe Dawson.
A big thank you to Prime laundromat Barossa go kart club and T4 Kartworks.

FSC Whyalla saw Joe aka RAMBO racing in his new x5 Sera kart.
Joe qualified 3rd and had personal best times for the weekend.
Heats 1,2 and 3 Joe finished 3rd and in the final finished 4th.
A great weekend for Rambo and a great fit for such a beautiful looking kart.
Well done🏁
