Hey all. A reminder that tomorrow (Sunday) we will be running our first Working Bee at Macquarie Woods, followed by our next League Day/ social round. See you out there!

A reminder of a couple of Working Bees that we have coming up out at the MACQUARIE WOODS course in Vittoria.
SUNDAY 30th of AUGUST and SUNDAY 13th of SEPTEMBER we will need all hands on deck to get the big course finished up, ready for ADGD and Aussie Masters. (This will include a number of completely new holes which you will not have ever played before!)
We will be there from 9am on both days and will follow up the Working Bee with lunch (possibly at the Bee Keepers Inn) and then a League Day (in place of our normal Lake Cabobolas or Molong League Day).
Meet just inside the Macquarie Woods Campground gate.
Bring along gloves, rakes, brush cutters/ whipper snippers, wheel barrows and other tools which may help.
The course is getting there but just needs a bit nore work before it will be ready.

Haven't registered for Aussie Disc Golf Day at Macquarie Woods yet?
Well what are you waiting for?
This year we combine the ever-popular Cold Snap with Aussie Disc Golf Day, as well as having a trial run of the Division 2 layout for ussie Masters (plus for those staying around perhaps a sneaky walk through the Division 1 course the next morning). All this in a single-day, 2 round event on Saturday the 19th of September

If you have yet to registerm get on in there and sign up - it is going to be an event you do not want to miss!

Kicking things off will be the popular State of Origin on Friday, October 2, setting the tone before the three-day Masters event gets underway.

Today's Lake Canobolas League Day saw a committed group of folk take on the red/blue combo course in weather ranging from sunny and warm to cold and gusty.
The winter lack of foliage saw a few lines available which are not always there, as well as plenty of leaf litter and stickage, which made skips harder than usual.
Some right scoring on the front 9 saw one stroke separating the top 3, but when the back 9 had happened (along with lots of chatting and significantly more wind) the scores had spread a little more.
Sharon claimed the female title with a solid 9 under, while Reid and Kevin battled it out amongst the lads, with Kevin eventually prevailing on -10. Seb cleaned up the bronze medal position with a -2, following on from his first Ace yesterday.
Our next league day will be at Macquarie Woods on the 30th of August following our working bee in the morning.

After a very wet Sunday just gone with no-one out for a League Day we will be holding our next Lake Canobolas League on this coming Sunday (16th August)-2pm tee off. See you there!

Central West Disc Golf League Day at the Lake Canobolas Course this Sunday. All welcome from beginner to expert.
We will be playing a Red/Blue 18 hole beginner/ intermediate friendly layout.
$5 for the round plus an optional $1 Ace Pot for those looking to take home some extra cash if you hit the Ace.
2pm tee off - meeting at the table near basket 9.

Registrations for the Aussie Disc Golf Day 2026 here in the Central West are now open. Combining ADGD26, with the Central West Cold Snap and also serving as a practice run for the layout of the Aussie Masters, this will be an event not to be missed. Strictly limited to 72 players, don't miss out!
Note that this event will be running on a newly redesigned version of the Macquarie Woods 18 hole course as designed for the Division 2 layout at Aussie Masters.

A small group of dedicated players braved the cold and breezy conditions today for the second of the monthly Central West Disc Golf league days for July. The round was held at Molong on an 18 hole alternating red and blue layout. Mark started the round hot, picking up a birdie on each of the first 4 holes, before Reid charged back to take the lead. Neither of them could hold back a late charge from Darwin who went 6 under on the challenging back 9 to finish 8 under par, shooting a PB score and claiming the day.
Bag tags were exchanged and everyone went home happy...because they got to play disc golf and everyone is happy when they get to play disc golf.
Our next league day will be at the Lake Canobolas course on the second Sunday of August with all welcome to play.
