Rock Boss 2026!

Great weekend of competing down at Molong, the tracks were absolutely mint this year they have stepped it up another level hats off to all the rock crawling crew for putting this on and making such an awesome event already can’t wait for next year.

We took out first place in the legends class 🥇
It was a super tight competition with Team Chachi only just behind us by 14 points and the rest of the field not far off.

Thanks for all the people that came and supported us and also the pit crew and setup was on point this year.

Thanks for the Navi skills, mega rock packing and pointing us around.

We’ll be competing again at the next round in September at eastern creek.

What an event this was!
It was a last minute rush to get the canam back together after the damage we sustained at cliffy but we got there!
We made it up to outlaws, passed the scrutineering and went out on a site lap of the enduro loop for Sundays big race. We were very slow and rusty after not having any seat time since cliffy and also very cautious as we didn’t want a repeat with a tree. I think our first lap took almost two hours we didn’t make it back to camp until dark. We went out again in the morning for another practise and were slowly building the pace and confidence up.
We had fun on all the different style of races over the weekend with our only drama being we lost rear brakes again during the short course races.
We decided to not do the bounty hill without rear brakes, it was great to sit back and watch anyway!
We then decided we would send it for the enduro and just cruise around to have some fun.
Sunday morning we started the 6 hour enduro and after getting a feel of the brakes on a few corners we were no longer going to just cruise, we went into flat out pace mode pretty quickly. We ended up completing 9 laps in 5 and a half hours.
Huge shout out to and for pit crewing, we came in to stop for fuel twice and they smashed the fuel ups and check overs.
After the enduro finished we were super happy with how we went, the Mav R performed flawlessly all day long with those tiny front brake pads holding on for life. Come presentation time we absolutely never expected that we would be the number 1 top spot coming first place! What an experience this has been.

Cliffhanger 2025

We had an awesome time out at the 2025 Cliffhanger event!
Getting the Mav R built for this event was a huge push, thanks to everyone that helped and massive thanks to .
With zero seat and Navi time in the canam we are extremely happy with how we went!
9th in the prologue gave us a good start to the week with its first drive.
absolutely killed it in the Navi seat, with all navigation stages we were right up the top and didn’t miss a single waypoint all week. It was also Alex first time running a winch rope let alone in a competition with the added pressure! Could not have done a better job, extremely proud.
Across the week with almost 30 stages we had 5 DNF’s and a DNS and still managed to come 19th overall out of 89 cars.
The Mav R went very well all week, tyres were probably our biggest let down especially during the Thursday rampage stage we had to stop 17 times for punctures. Apart from that the only repair we did all week was change a front cv as we split a boot open and we had a lose bolt on one of the stages.
We have a few things that will need to dial in, the winch is way to fast and we need to figure out how to crawl this thing, it’s either zero speed or blazing the tyres, will need to look into lower gearing probably.
Unfortunately on our second last track of the week we clipped a tree with the rear right wheel ripping it off and that was us done.
We missed out on the last track and the winch wall but after seeing where our wall was we were pretty happy to miss out on it and drink some beers!
A great week and great time, we are very keen on the next event.
Time to start the repairs!
