Hey ladies,

As Spring is just around the corner, my outdoor fitness classes will be resuming again shortly, yippeeeeeeeee.

I am also looking for 10 local women who are feeling a bit stuck in their fitness and nutrition journey, and would love to be guided through the lifestyle changes in order to feel like themselves again.

Are you experiencing any of the following:

*Lacking energy and feeling constantly drained
*Struggling to find time for yourself to exercise
* Feeling irritable and stressed must of the time making it hard to enjoy life
* Dislikes your appearance and lacks confidence
* Struggling with metabolic, digestive or hormonal issues which affect your quality of everyday life.

Yep that's right.. strength training to the best way to help boost your metabolism in terms of exercise.

Especially for busy mums with limiting time.

Play....

I believe it's important to have a certain play based activity that is incorporated into your routine.

Whether that being, a spin class, a swim, or bike ride. It should be something that you enjoy, and that makes you happy.

My choice is surfing.

Surfing used to be my main activity, I used to love pushing myself, bigger & better. But since becoming a mum, I don't always want to push.

Now, I prefer taking out a foam board and simple just playing, releasing those endorphins and reducing stress.

Our rest time needs to be just that, rest. I'm already operating at a high level to just survive somedays.

Play alongside strength training, will assist you balance your hormones, reduce stress, and keep you energised.

Here I am 18 weeks pregnant, still enjoying the thing that fills up my cup. ⁠

With my first pregnancy, I ditched surfing pretty much straight away. Coming from a miscarriage, I was overly cautious. ⁠

I continued to go to the gym though, as I recognised the benefits of strength training. Luckily I did, as my son was a whopping 4.97kg and a long 18hour labour. ⁠

I can honestly say, that exercising through my pregnancy helped me birth him naturally. ⁠

What is the pelvic floor? ⁠

This term you will here a lot upon becoming pregnant, and specifically after childbirth. ⁠

The pelvic floor compromise of muscles that support and control you bladder, a**s, uterus and va**na. ⁠

These muscles have to expand greatly with childbirth, and therefore need attention to regain their strength. ⁠

If you are experience any issues post partum, or are pregnant and would like to help keep your strength then please DM for information. ⁠

Some mums also bring their big kids too, which is great as they all end up playing together. ⁠

If you've been to any of my classes you will realise that we do a lot of movements to involve our core muscles. ⁠

The main muscles are listed above.. In Postpartum, we really need to understand and engage our connection to the deep core muscles. ⁠

This will assist in the recovery of our bodies post pregnancy and birth. ⁠
