The boys have earned their shot, and this Saturday there’s only one thing left to do — finish the job.

They’ll line up against Sports at 10.20am in a Grand Final showdown that promises plenty of pace, pressure and tough hockey. The Cheetahs have worked all season for the chance to be standing on this stage, and now it’s time to make every minute count.

Get yourself to the fields, find your voice and get behind the boys as they chase that final win of 2026.

💚💛 FOUR TEAMS. ONE CLUB. ONE MASSIVE GRAND FINAL DAY.

Mittagong is heading into Grand Final Day with FOUR senior teams ready to leave absolutely everything on the field. What a way to finish the season!

Saturday 19th September is going to be HUGE, with the green and gold in action from 9am right through to the afternoon.

💚 9.00am – 3W Cheetahs vs Sports
💛 10.20am – 3M Cheetahs vs Sports
💚 11.40am – 2W Tigers vs Robbo
💛 1.00pm – 2M Tigers vs Bowral

Four teams. Four grand finals. One club behind every single one of them.

We want to see the sidelines packed with Mittagong supporters. Bring your chairs, bring your loudest outside voices and get ready to make some serious noise for our Cheetahs and Tigers as they fight for those premierships.

They've worked all season for this. Now there is just ONE game left.

💚💛 Mittagong’s presence was definitely felt at last night’s SHHI Awards Night, with our club taking home multiple awards across a range of categories.

A huge congratulations to all award winners from across the association, and an extra big congratulations to our Mittagong players who were recognised for their achievements throughout the 2026 season.

It’s fantastic to see so many of our players acknowledged for the seasons they’ve had and the contribution they make both on and off the field.

Another great night for the green and gold. Congratulations to you all — we’re incredibly proud!

Assignment: Get the job done, with the eyes on the big dance.
Cheetah men fired off the blocks with a point to prove & redemption after going down to the top pub last week.
Mossy brought their A game & it was a game of Ebbs & Flows with both teams sharing possession.
With half a team of old n**e nuts & the rest young legs, the job from the skip was simple.
Possession, use the width & play our game. Simple.
The chat was positive & the ball movement was pretty clean for 3rd grade standards!
Then we won a short corner. Scar face Miller, who remembered his uniform & kit, clocked a clean copy book goal to put the Cheetah's in front.
Then the tussle was on. The game swung both ways & the Robo lads with the whistle let the game flow nicely.
Holding court at 1-0 for most of the game til Skip pounced on a quick long & caught Mossy napping to bang his 2nd goal home like he thought Best & Fairest points were on the line.
Job done!
The Cheetahs managed to hold out the Red blokes from over the River & slide sideways into the another showdown at the OK Corral for next week against the Purple & Black.
Over & Out Flemington, but not the races!

💚💛 THE LIONS FINAL ROAR - By Jake

Our season came to an end last night losing to Burrawang 4-1 who were deserved winners.
Our season started well, we found a way to win a lot of games where we didn't play our best hockey. We debuted multiple juniors this year giving them a taste of the top grade, all of which rose to the occasion.
We played a defensive style of hockey, to suit the strengths of our players, which got results throughout the year.
Ending up with the minor premiership overtaking Robertson in the final round before semis.
With a few players back the following week they proved their class, as we couldn't convert our chances, and I feel as though the result could easily have gone the other way.
The following Friday we came up against burrawang, although we didn't get the desired result, I couldn't be prouder of the effort the boys put in.
I'd like to give 2 players a shoutout on their year.
Alex Cameron, debuted this year in the top grade, and never looked out of place. Safe with the ball and played well beyond his years. Can't wait to see how he progresses!
Nick Horvath, in the best shape of his life and saved us on many occasions through the year. Single handedly won us a few games, and one week got every single best and fairest point (other than his own).
Our 99% local team punched well above their weight this year and on our day could match it with anyone. Good luck to both teams in the GF.
I am excited for the future of our juniors making their way to the top flight.

💚💛 CHEETAHS DO PROSPER

Well, well, well… would you look at these Cheetahs!

The upset of the season has officially been delivered, with our 3rd Grade women taking down Burrawang 2–1 and charging straight into the GRAND FINAL.

Captain Kaz quite literally jumped off a plane from China, drove straight to the fields and apparently decided jet lag could wait. Five minutes into the game and BANG — she had Mittagong on the board.

Burrawang finally found the equaliser in the fourth quarter, and with five minutes left on the clock, things were getting a little spicy. Mittagong earned a short corner and Heather stepped up. No mucking around. She gave it an almighty crack and sent it straight through and into the goal. 2–1. Thank you very much.

Now, here’s the really good bit.

Two weeks before finals, these women were sitting SIXTH. They clawed their way into fourth, knocked out third, just knocked off second, and now they’re off to the big dance.

And who’s waiting for them? Sports.

Yep. A replay of last year’s Grand Final. How very convenient.

These Cheetahs have spent the last few weeks proving that ladder positions are merely a suggestion. They don’t quit, they don’t roll over and apparently they’re not finished causing trouble just yet.

One game left, ladies.

Time to Stick It To ’Em and go get that crown.

💚💛 TIGERS PUNCH THEIR TICKET!

Our 2nd Women have booked their spot in the GRAND FINAL after a gutsy 2–0 win over Bowral tonight!

It was fast, hard-fought hockey from the opening whistle, with plenty of tenacity, energy and determination from the girls. Mittagong dominated much of the game and looked dangerous whenever they pushed forward.

Milla was the first to hit the scoreboard, finding the back of the net with a lovely shot to give the girls the lead. Then, with just ONE MINUTE left on the clock, Meegan put the result beyond doubt, sending an absolute cracker straight through the middle off a short corner to make it 2–0.

The girls were on fire tonight and have well and truly earned their place in the big dance. One game left. One big job to do.

GRAND FINAL BOUND! Stick it to ’em, girls!
