In June 2025 the Mitchell Golf Club hosted one of the largest sporting events that Mitchell has ever seen. Mitchell was lucky enough to be selected as the first leg in the Outback Masters QLD 2025.

The club in conjuction with QOM & Maranoa Regional Council hosted 2 FREE junior clinics with approximately 40 kids participating in the clinics.

The event brought over 250 people to the community. With 158 players as the final count.

The clubs members and volunteers held 2 practice days leading up to the event, an origin night and a Chinese night. Members ran the bar for the entire weekend, helped with the food and serving/ raking across the event.

Thank you to MRC & The community for honouring us with this award.
