Our weekend results, thanks to .mitcham

The weather played a part in some tough slogs for our Senior Men, coming away with two gritty wins in the B and C grades, while our A grade pushed the second-placed Demons all the way on another injury-hit afternoon.

The Senior Women continue to add layers to their performance each week, stretching their winning run and their grip on the top of the table.

Our Juniors all put in outstanding efforts on soggy fields to grab important wins or close losses. Particular shout out to the Under 14 Boys and Under 18 Girls who both broke through for their first Ws of the year!

A wet week ahead, but the fires will be burning for another cracking round ahead! C'mon, Hawks!

Important notice for all players & parents.

Due to recent and forecast heavy rainfall, all scheduled training between 15 & 19 June has been cancelled. This decision is necessary to protect the integrity and safety of the surface for the remainder of the season.

The Under 8 Yellow match on Friday evening is still scheduled to proceed. Please review team communications for further advice or any changes.

In addition, our visit from the will still take place on Wednesday 17 June, with all activities moved indoors. Our kitchen and bar facilities will be open for meals as usual.

Thank you, Hawks! We appreciate your understanding.

We are looking for a motivated individual to coordinate our AFL Auskick Program for 2026.

Auskick is a fantastic introduction to Australia Rules Football and creates a pathway into Mitcham's junior football program for our next generation of talented Hawks.

Our club's 8-week program during School Term 3, commences Friday July 24 running to September 11. All sessions begin at 4:30pm and run for one (1) hour.

The Coordinator will engage with local schools to attract both boys & girls to the program, communicate with the SANFL and AFL in regards to Auskick requirements, and coordinate the weekly sessions.

This program is an important step for players and families to support their entry to Under 7 mixed and Under 8 Girls football at Mitcham in 2027.

This role is open to all applicants, but we encourage parents/caregivers of Auskick participants and/or existing Junior players to consider the role.

A Working with Children Certificate will be required.

If you, or someone you know, is interested or would be a perfect fit for the role, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Let's go, Hawks!

Results from a wet and windy weekend.

Fantastic result from the Senior Women keeps them top, before a tough day at home for the Men despite some good fight.

Our under 12s and 13s have kept their winning starts alive and both occupy second on the ladder, while the Under 17.5s just seem to be hitting their straps with a third win on the trot.

Bye week ahead for all grades with the long weekend - great chance for everyone (including our oval!) for a break and a reset before attacking the next rounds.

Our Senior Women kick things off with a spectacular under the Friday Night Lights, when they travel to face Scotch OC tonight, before getting geared up tomorrow to watch the Men in their triple-header against Scotch tomorrow at Rowett Construction Oval, against the backdrop of our annual Ladies' Day!

Let's be loud, proud and fearsome, Hawks!

This week, our club celebrates a special and historic milestone when our Senior Women take the field under lights against Scotch OC, as becomes the first women’s player to reach 100 games in the mighty blue and gold.

Sarah has quite literally been there from the beginning, part of our club's first all-girl sides back in 2015 in Under 13's, becoming a premiership players in our first female premiership in 2016, before going on to become a two-time premiership player, club captain and heart and soul of the Senior Women's side.

Sarah’s leadership extends well beyond the playing field. When not playing, Sarah is the driving force behind our social events, is the first to put up her hand up to support our Auskick and junior programs, even working the bar on Friday nights, and is a true champion for Women's football and what it means to be a Hawk.

Sarah’s drive to ensure that the Mitcham Football Club is an inclusive space for all should also be commended.

For these reasons and many more, it's incredibly fitting that Sarah becomes the first to reach this milestone for our club.

We encourage all supporters of our club to show their support and appreciation for Sarah's achievement and would love to see everyone out in force on Friday evening to help mark this occasion.

Congratulations Sarah, this one's for you! 💛💙🦅🍾
