Heatherdale Tennis club Heatherdale Tennis club is a vibrant and active club for both tennis players and supporters. Sport is for fitness fun and social interactions.

At Heatherdale Tennis Club, we are fun oriented and offer competition, social tennis and many exciting social activities for all ages. We have support the current VIc Health "Changing the Game" initiative with Cardio Tennis by JTS Tennis Coaching and a professional Strength and Conditioning coach to assist you to return to sport safely. We have 8 floodlit Classic Clay tennis courts and a large com

fortable clubhouse, which includes a kitchen, change rooms, table tennis table, licensed bar, pool table, dartboard and TV. Our Club History is an array of big names. The late Harry Hopman founded Heatherdale Tennis Club in 1966 at a public meeting & launch. Courts 1-4 were completed & ready for play by 1967 as the result of a hard working committee whose ideas & dreams still underpin the club today. By 1983, the club boasted the 8 en-tout-case courts, 6 under lights & current Clubhouse including a lounge & bar facilities. The tradition of continuing to improve facilities for members continues with the latest upgrade of the kitchen & lighting on courts 7 & 8. In 2006 the 8 en-tout-cas courts were resurfaced with Classic Clay. Ian Barclay coached at Heatherdale for a period of 14 years producing many great players including Pat Cash whose name appears on the honor board of Club Champions. 1991 – 1994 heralded the years of the successful Ladies State Grade Pennant Team including two premierships. In its short history Heatherdale has achieved considerable success at all levels of competition. It currently offers opportunities for participation in senior, junior, pennant, midweek ladies & night competitions

Congratulations to all our 2026 Club Champions

The club championships were hosted over the weekend just past.
The 1 Point Slam was a great, fun event with our head coach Jarrod Savage honouring his childhood hero, Pat Cash and playing with an old wooden racquet. But he wasn’t good enough with the event won by Peter Caselin from the Thurs. Sec. 2 80085 team.
Whilst the weather was variable we were blessed with great weather for the finals on Sunday.

In spite of Melbourne's unpredictable weather, the atmosphere was electric as everyone enjoyed Day 1 of the Club Champs, either participating or cheering from the sidelines. Our incredible team put together a truly impressive lineup, and their strategic approach ensured a seamless progression through the draw. It was fantastic to see the talented youngsters from Jarrod's program demonstrating their impressive skills on Court 1, and today's matches are set to be just as captivating. A massive thank you to Eddie, Anna, Rob, Carl, Alli, Roger, Mae, and the entire Heatherdale family for their tireless efforts in making this event so memorable. Enjoy some images of Day 1 in action.

It’s that time of year again to see who will be our Club Champion! 🏆
It’ll be on the 28th & 29th of March with Juniors playing their matches in the morning and the Men’s & Women’s events in the afternoon.

🚨NEW EVENT!!🚨
This year we will be running a 1 Point Slam event!! It’ll be held on Saturday the 28th of March and the winner will receive a prize!

This is a members only event and to participate, it will be a $5 entry. The $5 is a once off fee, irrespective of the number of events you enter.

ALL ENTRY FEES WILL BE DONATED TO THE ROYAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL!! 🎉

Club Champs is a fun and enjoyable day for all members to play some great tennis at any level!
There will be a BBQ throughout the day with the bar open as well! 🍻

The Heatherdale Tennis Club is pleased to announce that the 2026 Club Championships will be held over the weekend of 28 and 29 March.
Aside from the singles and doubles competitions, this year the club is hosting a 1 POINT SLAM competition as seen at the Australian Open earlier this year.

Entry for all competitions is just $5 and all fees will be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital Good
Friday Appeal.
