🎉 2025/26 Presentation Night 🎉

A couple of weeks ago we officially wrapped up the 2025/26 season with our annual Presentation Night, and what a fantastic evening it was!

With more than 80 members, family, friends and sponsors in attendance, it was a great opportunity to celebrate another memorable season, recognise some outstanding achievements and enjoy some great food and company.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success. Our club is built on the efforts of so many people, both on and off the greens, and nights like these are a wonderful reminder of what makes Mitcham Bowls Club so special.

On Friday night, our President, Scott and Committee Member, Ally visited our good friends to accept their generous $660 donation. This donation was from their Mitcham Lager Fundraising Program of which DSCMK was their nominated community group! We love our local community and are so grateful to Mitcham Bowls Club for their ongoing partnership and support!

👏 Another Huge Achievement for Marlie 👏

We’re incredibly proud to see Marlie Malcolm selected to compete in the 2026 Junior Golden Nugget at Tweed Heads this July ✨

Widely recognised as one of the premier events for Australia’s best young bowlers, it’s fantastic to see Marlie earn her place in the field 💪

🎉 Club Tweed is excited to announce the 23rd Annual Junior Golden Nugget Field🏆

Get ready for world-class junior bowls on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, as the 2026 Junior Golden Nugget showcases its biggest and most diverse field yet.

🌏 With talented young players representing seven Australian states, plus international rising stars from Hong Kong China, and New Zealand, this year’s event is set to be a blockbuster weekend.

A total of 48 juniors – 24 boys and 24 girls – will compete for glory, hoping to etch their names into history alongside past champions such as, Corey Wedlock, Dylan Fisher, Nick Cahill, Jarryd Davies, Kane Nelson, Lisa Phillips, Samantha Norona, Jessie Cottell, Kira Bourke, and Ellen Fife (née Ryan).

🌟 Widely recognised as a golden stepping stone for Australia’s best young bowlers, the Junior Golden Nugget continues to attract top talent. This year, Club Tweed is thrilled to welcome 5 international players who bring added flair to this prestigious event.

👏 City Squad Selection - Well Done Marlie! 👏

A big congratulations to Marlie Malcolm on her selection in the City squad for the upcoming City vs Country Series.

This is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the hard work and consistency Marlie continues to show on the big stage.

🏆 Mitcham has a new Victorian State Champion! 🏆

What an incredible achievement by one of our own, Naomi McColl has taken out Gold in the Vision Impaired State Singles 👏

After a perfect opening day, Naomi backed it up by winning her final two matches on Tuesday to secure the title and be crowned Victorian State Champion 💪

A shout out must again also go out to Robyn Weinbergs who was Naomi's director for the event, a job that's very important to the end result.

A huge congratulations on a well-earned result ans a fantastic effort that the whole club can be proud of!!

We look forward to seeing your name up in gold leaf on the honour board very soon ✨

👏 Big day for Naomi at the State Championships! 👏

One of our own, Naomi McColl, has had an outstanding day in the Bowls Victoria Vision Impaired State Singles, going 3 from 3 💪

She’s back again tomorrow for two more matches, and with a big day ahead, she could find herself crowned Victorian State Champion 👀🏆

A huge shoutout as well to Robyn Weinbergs for her support and direction throughout the event 👏
