Miriam Vale Golf Club Miriam Vale Golf Club has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Fairways are grassed with natural Blue Couch and greens are 328 Turf. Well worth a visit.

Miriam Vale Golf Course is 9 Holes set in a natural environment with kangaroos often seen on the course. The course is 68 par measuring 5192mts. With 3 par 3’s, 4th -123mts, 5th – 180mts & 7th – 188mts plus 5 par 4’s and one par 5 at 485mts. This may seem a short course but it is set up to try any golfer and will test your short game! It has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Club house is

open on competition days – Wednesday morning Ladies & Saturday afternoon Men’s & Ladies and Sunday there is a Mixed event. Others days there is an honour system to pay the Green Fees. Social Groups very welcome – we will cater for these groups if booked in.

Today we played our 2nd and final week of the Captain’s Trophy and the Rod Lavia Trophy day, Thanks Rod for your generosity and great prizes.

June Monthly Medal & Captain’s Trophy – round 1
Wednesday, 17 June 12 Ladies teed it up for our June Monthly Medal, Golf Queensland Brooch and Del Whitmore Memorial Putter of the Year.

Our trophy donor for the day was Allyson F. who donated prizes for Divisions 1 and 2, and the pinshots.
Thank you for your generosity Allyson.

Division 1 was won by Kaye with 74 from Allison R. with 75.
Division 2 was won by Donna with 71 from Joyce with 75.
The June Monthly Medal Winner was Donna. Congratulations Donna – you are consistently playing great golf.
Bobby Jones points went to Donna (5), Kaye (4) and Joyce (3).
Division 1 pinshots:
5 &14 was Allison R. with 65cm
8 & 17 was Kaye with 3.17m
Division 2 pinshots:
5 & 14 was Jane – in the hole
8 & 17 was Donna with 1.14m

Yesterday was also the first round of the Captain’s Trophy over 36 holes, with the second and final round to be played next Wednesday. Tee off is 9:00am and cost will be $25.00.

Gent's this Saturday's Men's Competition will be the 2nd week of the Captain’s Trophy, with some close scores last week it could be anyone's to take out.

It's also Rod Lavia Trophy day and there will be some great prizes up for grabs, So don't miss out on a great afternoon of Golf and chance to take home some awesome prizes.

Today we had a strong field of 17 men that played a Stroke event, Captain’s Trophy Day 1 - Monthly Medal - Putter Qualifyer and Graham Hazell's Trophy day, Thanks to Graham for his prizes great work 👍.

Gent's this Saturday will be Day 1 of 2 for the Captain’s Trophy, Day 2 will be Saturday the 20th June.

It will also be Graham Hazell Trophy Day being a STROKE event and Monthly Medal.

Remember to Count your PUTT'S this weekend Men as its the Putter of the Year Qualifyer round aswell.

Can everyone be at the clubhouse at 1130am to nominate so we can have a 1200pm Tee off.

🏆BITS Ladies Open results🏆

Kaye, Allison R., Sue H., Allyson, Donna, Kristen and Joanne represented Miriam Vale at the BITS Ladies Open on Friday, 5 June. Once again our Ladies shone with Sue Howkins taking the B Grade Nett Runner Up with 73, Joanne Wright taking the trophy for Overall Nett Winner and C Grade Nett Winner with 65 and Donna Wheeler won the C Grade pinshot.
Congratulations Ladies.

Miriam Vale won the maximum 14 pennants points with 283 from BITS with 296 and Gladstone was third with 300. Calliope and 1770 each earned 3 points.
With one round left to go, Miriam Vale leads the Curtis Zone Pennants with 50 points from BITS with 42 points, Gladstone is third with 38 points followed by 1770 with 31 points and Calliope with 22 points.

Quite a few Ladies are playing in the Vets Open next Tuesday, so I do not believe there will be a sufficient number to warrant a competition on Wednesday. To those Ladies who would like a game, please feel free to arrange a group and play a social round.

Today we played a STABLEFORD Event, with it being Matt Di**le & Trevor Di**le Trophy day, With some AWESOME prizes up for grabs in Meat trays, Seafood Trays, Crabs, Bottles of Rum and some merch from the legends at ALPHA BLOKES PODCAST Tom Dahl.

Results:

Overall Winner Trevor Di**le - 34 points ( couldn't take the Trophy Prizes as it was his Trophy day) Great game tho Big Fella 👍

Winner: Nathan Rhodes - 33 points.

Runner Up: Mick Turner - 33 points count back.

3rd: Stephen Walker - 32 points ( Marlene Walker )
