🇦🇺 Help Send the Poweroos to Argentina!

The Australian Poweroos have earned their place at the 2026 Powerchair Football World Cup in Argentina, now we need your support to help get them there.

As we approach the end of the financial year, we’re asking our community to help support Australia’s elite Powerchair Football athletes as they prepare to represent our nation on the world stage.

Your tax-deductible donation will help cover:
✈️ Flights to Argentina
🏨 Accommodation for athletes and staff
⚽ Training and competition costs
💚 Support for athletes with disability
🇦🇺 Australia’s campaign at the World Cup

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT | The Australian Powerchair Football Association is proud to unveil the 8 Australian Poweroos squad members for the FIPFA Powerchair Football World Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina this October!

Australian Poweroos Head Coach Robert Wright has praised the commitment of the entire squad throughout a gruelling selection process.

"The World Cup in Buenos Aries will be the most competitive tournament ever. Australia will be facing nine powerhouse nations from Europe, the UK, Asia and the Americas. The entire squad is relishing the opportunity to represent Australia and test themselves against the best teams and players in the world," he said.

The following 8 players have been selected -
Ryan Seck (Newcastle Jets)
Shaun Mott (Melbourne City)
Luke David (Melbourne City)
Jack Parry (River City)
Rebecca Evans (Melbourne City)
Christopher Hastas (Newcastle Jets)
Tristram Peters (River City)
Dimitri Liolio-Davis (Newcastle Jets)

Unlike many elite sporting programs, the Poweroos are entirely self-funded. The team currently receives no government backing, which makes the role of sponsors, partners, and community support absolutely vital.

“The Poweroos are championing the growth of inclusive sport in Australia and helping create pathways for athletes with high support needs to compete at the highest level. Help us drive awareness, investment, and long-term change in disability sport by supporting the team,” said APFA President Kristy Yeadon.
