Today is feeling a little wintery - but tomorrow the sun will be out, and Fish is on the menu!!! 🙌🙌

Lyn's highly requested yummy fish, chips and beautiful fresh salads are on the menu!! Plus, our SYP Agricultural Society are in charge of the kitchen, so all money raised from teas and the raffles goes towards supporting our great show!!! 🥰🥰

There’s some good stuff happening behind the scenes at Minlaton Cricket Club, with some fresh ideas being talked about for the future.

We'd love to see lots of locals come along tonight to the AGM. You don't have to join the committee, take on a job, or even say anything if you don't want to! Come along, have a listen, hear what's being planned and see what you think.

If you want to get involved, great! If you just want to support the club and see it keep going strong, that's great too.

Our community deserve a strong future in local cricket and we're keen to make that happen. But we need people around to help bring the good ideas to life!

So come along, have a yarn and see what it's all about.

This Thursday Night the SYP Agricultural show committee are taking over the kitchen and have Lyn coming in to cook her beautiful fish!! 🙌🥰

This year the hard decision was made to not have a show, and they are busy making plans for 2027. 🤝🤝

Thursday night will be a great opportunity to support our wonderful local show - all proceeds from the kitchen & raffles will go to the society - but also an opportunity to see how you can help and support the future of our long running institution!! 🥰🤝

It's a win win!! You get a great feed - IYKYK Fish night is very popular for a reason!! Plus, you get all the inside info on future planning for the 2027 show that we all love!! 🎪🎪

🏏 Happy Father’s Day to all the cricket dads, grandads and legends!

The ones who introduced us to the game, threw endless balls in the backyard, took us to training, fixed the gear, stood on the boundary, gave plenty of advice (whether it was asked for or not 😉) and always found time for one more throw.

And to the dads who played the game themselves - whether it was last season or a few decades ago - chances are you’ve left a few cricket stories, traditions and memories behind for the next generation.

It’s the simple things that make country cricket special - a bat, a ball, a few mates, and community spirit (*cough* inter-town rivalry 😅).

Whilst the B grade weren’t able to get the win today, Congratulations to Zach Germein who played his 50th senior game for CMS. Zach made his A grade debut in round 2 2014 and has now played 26 A grade and 24 B grade games.
Zach returned to playing footy this year after a few years off with his unassuming nature keeping him under the radar of our photographers prior to today!
A senior member of the B grade side playing in defence his fierce attack on the footy and never give up attitude shows the way for his younger team mates around him.
Well done Zach.

Congratulations to Tom Schott who plays his 50th senior game for CMS this Sunday.
First joining us in 2022 Schotty became a premiership player last season following grand final defeats in 2022 and 2024.
A silkie smooth mover, Schotty is damaging with ball in hand having high impact through the midfield and when playing across half forward and back. Having played league footy at Glenelg Schotty’s experience has been extremely valuable within the group and he has fitted in seamlessly in his time at the club.
