Ballarat Turf Club at Sportsbet-Ballarat Racing at Sportsbet-Ballarat The Ballarat Turf Club's feature event is the Sportsbet Ballarat Cup.

The Ballarat Turf Club (BTC) boasts one of provincial Victoria's premier racetracks, hosting an average of 36 race meetings in any race season, racing on both turf and synthetic tracks throughout winter. The club boasts two grassed racing tracks, the Uphill Track, Synthetic track and is deemed a Tier One training facility which accommodates over 500 horses each morning. The Ballarat Turf Club also

features modern grandstand facilities and on-course member and visitor facilities, placing it at the forefront of the country racing industry. It is the concluding feature event of the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival.

A huge Saturday awaits with Ballarat runners represented across two states, with local hopes competing at Flemington and Eagle Farm 🏇

📍 Flemington
A Samurai Mind (Niki O’Shea Racing ) and Flash Feeling (Dan O'Sullivan Racing ) kick things off in Race 2 over 1600m, with Lachlan Neindorf and Dean Yendall aboard respectively.

In Race 4, Barari resumes for Ciaron Maher Racing after an impressive victory on CVLX Miners Rest Community Cup Day. He will jump from barrier one down the straight.

Race 7 features two local runners, with Michelle Payne's Smokin Princess stepping out second up, while Kingofwallstreet returns for Cumani Racing, AUS after 18 months on the sidelines.

Ballarat will be strongly represented throughout the latter part of the card, with runners from Cumani Racing, Ciaron Maher Racing, Mitch Freedman Racing and Boyd Racing.

In the final event, progressive galloper Zouper Fund resumes for Ciaron Maher Racing in a straight-track assignment.

📍 Eagle Farm
Another Group 1 opportunity awaits in Queensland, with Henry Dwyer Racing 's Zulieka set to contest the Queensland Oaks with Ben Thompson aboard from a middle draw.

Ballarat Turf Club Chairman Bill Gribble, Treasurer John Penhall and CEO Sam Bingley recently had the opportunity to tour the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment project.

Hosted by Redevelopment Project Manager Mark Powell and Head of Fundraising Kathryn Kosloff, the visit provided valuable insight into the significant work underway and the positive impact the redevelopment will have on healthcare services across our region.
